Well, that didn't take long, for the swamp to wake up and predictably start bashing president Trump.

WaPo is outrageous. President Trump corrects the injustice of a political prosecution, and the WaPo accuses him of using the law for political purposes. I suppose it's typical left-wing projection.

Why the Washington Post Has No Credibility

“and his desire to use the power of the presidency as a personal political tool.”

Oh boy, that’s some rich f*ckin’ irony there!

This is just ridiculous bias.

Pound sand, Washington Post!

When I first began a Civil Service job, my coach, an old and very smart Agent told me not to make enemies.

He said everyone has at one time or another done something he could be fired over. They probably have broken some law too.

I really got the impression that Scooter Libby was a victim of a political prosecution.

Mueller was FBI dir. during the scam prosecution that resulted in entrapping Libby. Trump’s pardon is a double gesture to both Mueller and GW Bush (who commuted Scooter’s jail sentence but was too wussy to fully pardon him.

Pardon me, if I seem like I don’t give a rat’s rear end what any hideous swamp creature says.

Our good friend “Sundance” at http://www.theconservativetreehouse.com has often said that The Washington Compost is pretty much a direct newsfeed from the CIA, and this would be a perfect example. The CIA is being thwarted and they don’t like it at all.

BTW he also often says that The NY Slimes, similarly, is pretty much a direct newsfeed from the State Department.

“Some say”? Gimme a break. Talk about a useless attribution. “Some say” the WaPo is a used sewer rag. Actually, “Multitudes say” that.

Clinton thumbed his nose at the judiciary when he pardoned Marc Rich.

......; some say he is using the law as a political tool...

Democrats are experts at this. Just look at Mueller. And the IRS. And the cake bakery. And the fake DACA “law.”

He didn’t reveal Plame’s identity and the prosecutor knew it ... it was a gross violation of justice and a clear violation of ethics and law by the Special Prosecutor.

granting pardons has always been a political tool and within the right of the president to do.

Would the damn media bother to tell what the allegation was against Scooter Libby and what the actual conviction was and who the GENUINE leaker was and how many in the press were aware the whole time they were (and still are) hounding Libby?

Perhaps this fool should read his own newspaper's archives:
Washington Post August 29, 2011

Colin Powell’s cheap shot

The extent of the dishonesty is quite stunning. In a Cabinet meeting on October 7, 2003, the White House press corps bombarded President George W. Bush with questions about who the leaker was. Bush said he didn’t know, but there would be an investigation to get to the bottom of it. Powell, who had been told by Armitage just days earlier that Armitage was the leaker, sat there next to the president, stone silent. Not very loyal or honest, was it?

Moreover, the notion that Armitage’s slip was somehow inadvertent is belied by Bob Woodward’s taped interview in which Armitage repeatedly mentions Joe Wilson’s wife, evidently doing his best to get Plame’s identity out there. This was no slip of the tongue. Woodward testified that when he spoke to Libby sometime later that Libby never said anything about Plame.

At issue here is not simply Powell and Armitage’s deception and undermining of their commander in chief. There was a victim, one whom neither Powell or Armitage has ever apologized to. The person who ultimately paid the price for this was Scooter Libby. Had the president and the country known about Armitage, a special prosecutor would never have been appointed.
