Translation: Those Trump guys are just an embarrassment to "our" movement. The "crazy uncles" you hide in the closet when company comes. And we'll just pretend that 80% of white evangelicals didn't vote for Trump, while we're at it....
There is a movement going on in some circles of evangelicalism to embrace the stupidity of liberalism and reject conservatism.
Gospel is Gospel, but some of these “leaders” look smug disdain on anyone who SUPPORTS social and fiscal conservatism as an application of their faith.
Beware.
If whatever meeting they have doesn’t include Franklin Graham, then it has nothing to do with evangelism.
I am not sure yet what they are trying to do, but it is not real evangelism.
If one views Christianity as an “opium of the people", then I guess “they” see themselves as dealers.
A good friend reminds me that it is important to read the Bible, not nearly as important to read books about the Bible.
