Democrats are getting desperate as Mueller stalls
NY Post ^ | 22 Apr 2018 | Michael Goodwin

It’s not just Hillary Clinton who can’t quit Russia. The whole Democratic Party keeps going back to 2016.

In a move that reeks of desperation, the DNC filed a civil suit Friday against President Trump’s campaign, Russia and WikiLeaks, alleging a vast (right wing!) conspiracy to tip the election to Trump.

The suit’s flamboyant charges made headlines, but that only served to obscure the real meaning. Namely, that top Dems are giving up their fantasies that special counsel Robert Mueller will deliver them from political purgatory by getting the goods on Trump.

The trashy suit is their way of trying to keep impeachment and Russia, Russia, Russia alive for the midterms in case Mueller’s probe comes up empty.

Truth be told, party leaders are right to be disheartened by setbacks in the War against Trump. For the second time, the president was told he is not a target of Mueller, this time by Rod Rosenstein, the deputy assistant attorney general who created Mueller.

While Trump could still become a target, the odds of that happening decline by the day.

The probe started in the summer of 2016 by the FBI, and was taken over by Mueller nearly a year ago. Despite a large, secret budget and a squad of seasoned gunners, many of them Clinton supporters, Mueller hasn’t produced any evidence of a crime by the president.

If he had, Trump would be a target.

The Democrat holy trinity for 2018...impeachment, open borders, and tax increases.

I wonder if Mueller has had a conversation reminding him that he was hired to get Trump by any means necessary and if he doesn’t then he is of no future use to the coup plotters?

Are all FBI field offices organized by Fed District Courts?

Every time some Federal judge makes up the law and tries to rule the country, more people join your ranks.

No judge other than the Supreme Court should be able to overrule the President or Congress.

Their also s/b a Constitutional Amendment that allows the Supreme Court to be over ruled, either by 2/3rds of Congress or 2/3rds of the States. Make this process very easy so that a reversal can occur in weeks not years or decades.

Does this mean the DNC is OK with Trump filing suit against Clinton and the media for conspiring to get her elected?

“If Brennan had any real information on collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia, Mueller would have certainly spoken to him by now”

Nunes was a guest of Maria Bartiromos this morning on Fox Business. He said there wasn’t any information in official counter intelligence channels.

“They would be better off ending this farce and focusing on issues’’. No, let them go one. As Napoleon said “Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake''. The last thing in the world you'd want is Democrats focusing on issues.

“A special council is search of a crime is disgusting to Americans, it reeks of Stalinist Russia, the KGB, and the German SS.”

It IS disgusting but that is the way it is in many places. In America it used to be that a crime was committed and then there was a search to find out who did it. Now it is often that someone becomes a target and a search starts to find crimes, either real or imagined to charge against that person. It can happen to anyone, not just those in high places. Laws are passed in huge numbers so that no one, not even the most brilliant attorney, has any idea how to live a week without breaking the law.

He [Comey] and McCabe are trading accusations of lying, which is remarkable when you realize how many ordinary Americans they prosecuted for lying to them.

I see this didn't go unnoticed. The biggest casualty in all of this (aside from the taxpayers having their pockets picked) is the reputation of the FBI, which is now squirming under a Congressional spotlight. We're past the point of having this discreetly swept back under the carpet. Who now will volunteer information to the premier law enforcement agency in the country when they know if they make even a minor error it can land them in prison?
