Google should be forced to divest Android and YouTube, at least

"...anti-trust / company break-up..."
While very cautious of government involvement in the free market, it is simultaneously disconcerting to see Main Street, USA literally perishing at the hands of Amazon.com now.
Nothing frosts me more than watching a person soak a salesperson for an hour of guidance for a pair of running shoes (for example), get treadmill running data, and then go home to order the EXACT same running shoes for $5.00 less.

Atomized. Have their security component stripped out and given to the NSA; and then have the successor organizations prohibited from gathering any information other than name and date of signup.
Furthermore, forbid all of them from owning so much as a landscape business ever again.

Re: “Scott Galloway is a professor of marketing at the NYU Stern School of Business”
I think lifetime tenure should be revoked at every university that accepts public funding, and that every college professor should be required to publicly post an annual financial and tax statement, a full disclosure of politically related contributions and voting records, and a continuously updated list of sexual partners.
If these guys can get paid for acting like politicians, then they need to be scrutinized like politicians.

They did it to ALCOA and Ma Bell.
Hell yeah.

I don’t see how this can be pulled off in this age. The company would just move somewhere overseas keeping a separate US division for congress to mess with however they want. I thought that was the idea behind Google creating that Alphabet Inc holding company to parent itself that would be free of US regulators.

They can be blocked from all access to our communication infrastructure; is that good enough?

"...Best Buy and Wal*Mart..."
I am not familiar with Best Buy and Wal*Mart shoppers leveraging them against each other.
I do see people using local genuine expertise for quality sporting goods (or try-ons) for HOURS of comparisons. Then rushing home to visit Amazon to save a measly $5.00 of cost, which to me is low-class and a way to ruin downtown shopping districts.

Either break them up or at the very least pass a net neutrality law that forbids them from censoring ANY speech but clearly illegal things like child porn or terrorism. Amazon shouldn’t be subsidized like they are by the postal system - Trump is right about that.
