Two Dallas Police Department officers have been critically wounded in a shooting at a Home Depot store in north Dallas, police officials confirmed.
One civilian was also shot in the incident at the Home Depot at U.S. 75 and Forest Lane, multiple sources told WFAA.
The two Dallas officers, a man and a woman, were helping a security guard who was responding to an incident at the store.
The incident was still developing about 5 p.m. Police were still searching for a suspect.
A police spokesman confirmed a "major incident" at the store and said it was still a "very active scene."
The Dallas officers who were shot were taken to nearby Presbyterian Hospital, sources told WFAA.
Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings tweeted that city officials were "closely monitoring" the situation and "praying for our officers and their families."
More than a dozen police cars were still at the scene behind the store, near a line of trees. At least one person could be seen being loaded onto an ambulance.
An officer with a police search dog was also on the scene, going into the wooded area. Armored police vehicles were seen driving toward the Home Depot on U.S. 75.
Officers could be seen searching the surrounding area for the suspect.
Several Home Depot employees told WFAA that there was a ruckus behind the store and that they heard gunshots. One employee said he saw two officers on the ground and wounded.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) announced on Twitter that it was also responding to the shooting to help with the investigation.
The Forest Lane Dart Station was shut down during the incident.
This is a developing story. Check back for more details.

Forest east of Central is a Negro enclave, and has been for decades, for folks who hear “North Dallas” and think whites.
“Lets see how much attention this gets.”
Only if they used an AR-15.
WFAA reporting the female officer was shot in the face, is stable and the surgeons at Presbyterian are working on her now. The bystander (now being reported as a security officer) is in critical condition. The male officer, who was shot in the back of the head, is reported as not being likely to make it and is on life support until his family can get there. :(
Oh nooo..
Not far from where a white jogger got killed by a machete wielding Negro a couple of years ago.
That actual area isn’t. It’s west of TI and is generally middle class/upper middle class - lots of Asians and whites. East of TI, not so much.
Dallas needs to crack down on thug life.
Is that pic of the perp from a mugshot? If so, this guy was in the system? Another catch and release?
bump
Right along the DART line that moves them all about freely.
DART is on lockdown.
Among other things. Unfortunately, not going to happen when idiots keep electing more of the same idiots back to the city council.
Apparently in the system, yes. Had an outstanding warrant for theft, per reports. Dunno immigration status if any, but wouldn’t be surprised if he was an illegal.
Mmmm.... DART light rail is actually mostly commuters from the suburbs into downtown and back. Thing is, they can just as easily get on a bus and go further.

Sources say one of the officers mothers is on way to hospital. He is in critical condition and being kept alive until she arrives. We are all praying for a miracle and pray he pulls through. He is 27 years old.
