I didn’t know about that one, but Walzing Matilda is always used for Australia/NZ stuff. LOL! So I used it, too. :)
The name is also given to a test the SASR gives candidates midway through their selection course.
The original song wasn't particularly Australian as I am sure you are aware, but SASR have embraced it.
Hey, there! It was good. Very chilly 42 when I got up...at 10am...but warmed up to the low 60s this afternoon. Back into the 80s tomorrow. Roller coaster. Boy! The kitties were very ready to come in when I opened that door when I got up. LOL!
How was your day? Is it warming up? It looked pretty at DH. I need a cam closer to your area. LOL!
Good evening, Mooch...yes, expanding our knowledge of our allies is a good thing.
Hope you are enjoying a nice spring.
Whew! Roller coaster is right! You’re having a wilder ride than we’ve had by far. I reckon your kittehs were VERY ready to get inside this morning. Poor babies don’t have thick coats and really felt the chill.
Not warming up here just yet. One more day of 60s tomorrow - and rain - and THEN we warm up an dry out for the next several days.
DH appeared to have less cloudiness than we did today. They won’t get as much rain tonight and tomorrow as we’ll get either. They deserve the break because they got more than we did this last round.
The view at DH looks a lot like it does along the lake here. We’re greening up at about the same rate too.

I know its origin - saying ‘wasn’t particularly Australian’ was meant as a joke :)

it’s a beautiful setting there. I posted a screen cap the other day and one of the admins for the group said it looked like a painting. She was right. Especially with the green leaves softening the landscape.
Good you are in for some warm weather soon. Maybe you can finally enjoy seeing your flowers blooming. Did the white irises bounce back?
Believe it or not, last night we had the AC on and tonight we have the heat going. It’s no wonder I can’t stop coughing. Good grief!
Thanks, unique.
yarddog.....#50!!
A few problems...one of those things that has always worked and now all of a sudden it doesn’t. Of course WE must have done something wrong. We all took a try to run the payroll report...none worked. Called for help...do this, do that. Finally it worked.
I am ready for a breather and bed before 2am (and maybe a soak). Kicked back right now and enjoying posting ANZAC pictures. Wind still happening, but not as bad.
Yes, it is a pretty setting. There’s a lot of pretty countryside here, especially along the rivers and lakes.
That dratted owl knocked River off her branch again and sat close to the nest tree for a bit. Poor River.
The white irises didn’t bounce back. The stems did break. :-( Not sure if the buds on them will open or not. There are still others that weren’t knocked over and some of them are blooming.
And a bunch of daffodils burst into bloom two days ago. That variety is real late-blooming.
I reckon you DID have the A/C going last night as warm as it was! LOL! You had a toasty day and night.
We’ll need ours next week when we have highs around 80.
That stupid owl! I wish he’d just go find another...empty...nest or a hollow tree or something! He’s becoming obnoxious!
Awww...sorry the irises were lost. Thank goodness some of them weren’t, though, so you can still enjoy them.
Thank you SOOOO much, naturalman, for helping us learn about your history.
