Tis true, the DNA does not lie. My wife and I did this, she found out that family lore that she was part Native American turned out to be false. I however am 8% Native American. My wife did find a cousin in another state...

Yep. My father in-law is adopted, and found his half-brother and sister through ancestry.com DNA matches. I wonder how many people find out they are not related to their father?

This could be an outcome if one were to have their parents and themselves go into the data base.

In my case, my sister and I did it at very separate times but Ancestry informed both of us that we were closely related, possibly family members.
