The internet has made it easier for sub groups to find each other and stew. Yes, Incels is a thing, not to be confused with the MGTOW’s... Men Going Their Own Way. The difference being MGTOW’s are deciding to no longer engage with women, and Incels would like to engage, but can’t, hence the anger.

Have heard of the “MGTOW” movement, but not of “incels”. The “MGTOW” (stands for “Men Going their own way”) is about men that have given up on pursuing women though, not necessarily those who can’t get them. More like they aren’t willing to do what it takes to. I don’t know a lot about them, but from what I have see the MGTOW are bitter and anti-woman enough. If the “incels” are real and not a hoax/satire then they sound like extreme MGTOW’s to me.

MGTOW is more about voluntarily removing yourself from a rigged game rather than any woman-hating. Perhaps the best videos explaining it are Why Are Soo Many Men On A Marriage Strike? and Men not marrying? How deep does "the problem" go?

I have less of a grasp on Incel, but it seems to me to be more like the guys who have been so beaten down and essentially despised by society that they feel utterly unwanted. Jordan Peterson cried about how it's so terribly sad that many young men never get any encouragement.

That video piqued my curiosity.

I might've been unduly harsh with the "I can't get laid because I'm a loser who spends all my time on the internet" viewpoint.

There is a legitimate argument that young men are having their place in society taken away and this is leading to a lot of confusion and resentment about what their roles are. And women are being sold a bunch of lies as well so they're also confused.

Part of it might be crazy... but part of it is also them being immature. They never really learned how to be men. Women want a man, they don't want a teenage boy -- and they will settle for a man who has even serious character flaws OVER the "teenage boy".

The problem for the "incels" is that they don't understand this, and they never learned how to cope with rejection.

Resorting to aggression is that immature way of dealing with rejection. I remember being rejected by young woment I was interested in when I was a teenager... and I coped with it in the only way I could think of: my parents had tree stumps on the outer edges of their property, and I had access to an 8-lb maul. When I graduated High School, they had far fewer stumps on their property. But then I went to college and grew up.

Noting how that scale leaves the "10s" out of the game as well. I guess these are the girls who are so smoking hot that even the alpha males are intimidated by them.

Interestingly, one of the hottest gals I've ever seen, my neighbor, is married to a mild-mannered skinny nice guy dweeb. At the end of the day, he was the one who tried his luck with her.
