“If I see someone getting their head bashed in, civilian or not, it may just be prudent to look the other way, and keep on driving or whatever. Who needs the trouble? Not my clowns not my circus.”

Yes, you could do that, but how would you live with yourself if someone you could have saved, died as a result of your “looking the other way!” Maybe you could do that, but I sure as hell couldn’t!

Seems like he was “known to the authorities”, but my quick search didn’t come up with the priors indicated by the mug shot.

Too bad she didn’t go to the family home and take out the co-conspirators and accessories after the fact.

It will be tossed out of court like a used diaper because it will be viewed as “full of crap”.
Also the possibility that the police officer and the woman who saved him can countersue under the “frivolous lawsuit” laws and ask the bar association to suspend or disbar the attorney who brought the case. The Court can also take disciplinary action against the family and their attorney.

Take it to a jury.

I would love to be on that jury.
I would award her $1 and good luck!

Countersue the criminal’s family along with the attorneys who are helping the stupid family with the lawsuit.

This is going on near were I used to live, but still not far. I don't know if they are being funded in any way, but their attorney is the guy in the pic below. These billboards are all over the area here. Kind of gives you the idea.

Damn! That is an interesting cocktail!

They don’t need money bring a suit.
A shyster will take the case on speculation for 40% of the payoff.

You don’t need a law degree to see the error in this lawsuit. I hope they lose the case against the Cop and bystander.

Trust me, if things get bad enough that’s exactly what you’ll do and you won’t lose a minutes sleep over it.

The larger issue, we as a society have had it so good, for so long, that it seems normal. That “the way things are” is the default, that it just happens that way. Nothing could be farther from the truth. It takes hard work and dedication every single day 24/7 to “keep the lights on” and food and supplies moving, bridges from falling down, and on and on.

America was a better country when ciggies could advertise and lawyers couldn’t.

“The larger issue, we as a society have had it so good, for so long, that it seems normal. “

Unfortunately, we have not, in reality, had is so good for so long, we just think we have. Or we are oblivious to the facts, which are contrary to that notion. We have been “mis-educated” to believe “ things are good, when they’re not!” And it’s still true today. I mean look at the really stellar things Trump had done/is doing, and yet he’s still not revered for his not seen in a century accomplishments. Just hope and pray that the idiots among us do not prevail in November.
