If it was no big deal, why did you tell the New York Times?
So, better we got them, than if the Russians did, don’t you think?
Why is he complaining now?
How is this not akin to obama and clinton having all their records sealed? If it’s good for one...
Why is something that happened over a year ago now showing up as news?
Rehashed, boring, old #FakeNews carp.
What’s the name of the hair growth med? Asking for a friend.
So isn’t releasing medical records a serious HIPPA violation?
And the Doctor didn’t have them secured? Considering how many records are now stored electronically, this really doesn’t make sense unless they brought an IT team with them.
Something just doesn’t smell right about this story.
Thanks for the info. They can justify taking the records because of the doc’s violation.
This man violated patient/doctor confidentiality, which is illegal, and HE’S upset that Trump allegedly took his OWN medical records? By law, they must be kept private, (other than for medical consultation or insurance purposes) especially as in, privacy from their disclosure to unauthorized persons or entities. By publicly disclosing Trump’s protected information, without his permission, this “doctor” did NOT keep those records private, and broke the law and ethical standards, thereby. I’m no lawyer, but I am well versed with medical records privacy issues, and I imagine that President Trump has an excellent case against him, for breaking confidentiality, should he choose to sue.
It is my understanding that technically, the medical record belongs to the patient, but the physician keeps his own copy for the purpose of treatment or billing. However, he must keep it in a manner, in which the information cannot be illegally obtained by others.
Pretty sure revealing a patients treatment without their consent is a crime.
Transfers of medical records may not mean that ones former doctor would erase his history with any patient, but would retain original or copies of records, due to liability questions or issues.
After all, former doctors do not transfer or defer their liability regarding their patient services, diagnosis, treatment & prescriptions, etc.
YOU are correct.
According to Sarah Sanders, in today’s WH briefing informed the jackals in the briefing that incoming presidents do transfer all their med records into the White House Medical Office team.
Did they delete the history from the electronic record?
Wouldn’t it be a HIPAA violation for him to have reported that?
You realize this is about the President’s Medical Records.
I had a urologist who did my prostate cancer biopsy almost four years ago that the slides were his property and would not release them to me to take to M.D. Anderson.
I informed the doctor's office they belong to me, I'd be there in one hour to pick them up or call 911 to file a criminal complaint. They were ready for me to pick up when I got there.
I do realize that, but deduced your comment represented a personal experience.
The MO for all incoming presidents is to transfer all their records into the WH, under the purview of the official WH Medical team.
He told the NYTimes that he prescribed Trump medicines for rosacea and cholesterol also. Just because he didnt name the meds doesnt mean that this is not a violation of the law as well. 35 years as Trumps lawyer. Such betrayal. Yikes.
