A third woman has accused legendary NBC news anchor Tom Brokaw of unwanted sexual advances, long before the newsman had become a household name.
Mary Reinholz wrote a first-person account of her experience with Brokaw in The Villager, a weekly newspaper serving several New York City neighborhoods, alleging the journalist forcibly kissed her during a visit to her home in Laurel Canyon in 1968. She said both were journalists in California at the time, and that he had just helped her on a story when the encounter happened.
"We talked and then, abruptly, he was embracing me and giving me a French kiss. I pulled away, reminding him that he was married and a tryst was out of the question. He said, 'Yes, it would be unfair to Meredith,' meaning his wife," she wrote.

NBC is going to have to threaten more women to support Brokaw!

Tom Brokaw is not nearly that likable.

Tom’s another liberal that I don’t support in any way, but 1968...that’s absurd. I think 5 years is a reasonable time frame for reporting. Special exceptions might be possible. Common sense should be the final arbiter.
Cracks in the dam.
For reporting maybe, but for telling your story when people who don’t know everything are saying he is the greatest guy or people are lying or being forced to say he is great.
If Brokejaw fed his dates Quaaludes like Coz did, then he may be in a bit of trouble.
Tom, Tom, Tom, tsk, tsk, tsk......”word” is that NBC pressured women into coming forward to defend Tommy boy.
This crap needs to end.
These women have direct evidence ranging from absolutely NONE, to minimal and circumstantial, and the minimal appears to be inadmissible as hearsay.
What happens to Brokaw, happens.
I would derive greater satisfaction if the one being accused was Chris Matthews.
She might have been motivated by the trashing of Linda Vester by nbc personnel.
Besides, I thought all women were to be believed. What about it Andrea? Rachel? Mika?
