Trump: 'Disgraceful' leak of Mueller Russia probe questions
AP News ^ | 5/1/18 | DARLENE SUPERVILLE and MARY CLARE JALONICK

President Donald Trump says it's "disgraceful" that a list of proposed questions from special counsel Robert Mueller was "leaked" to the news media.

The New York Times late Monday published around four dozen questions compiled by Trump's lawyers during negotiations with Mueller's investigators earlier this year over the prospect of a presidential interview.

The Times report said Trump's lawyers compiled the questions into a list and that document was "provided to The Times by a person outside Mr. Trump's legal team."

The questions range from Trump's motivations for firing FBI Director James Comey a year ago to contacts Trump's campaign had with Russians. Although Mueller's team has indicated to Trump's lawyers that he's not considered a target, investigators remain interested in whether the president's actions constitute obstruction of justice and want to interview him about several episodes in office. They have not yet made a decision about an interview.

In a second tweet, Trump said: "It would seem very hard to obstruct justice for a crime that never happened."

The questions do appear to indicate that Mueller is looking into possible collusion. Some touch on Russian meddling and whether the Trump campaign coordinated in any way with the Kremlin. In one question obtained by the Times, Mueller asks what Trump knew about campaign staff, including his former campaign chairman Paul Manafort, reaching out to Moscow.

They were compiled during negotiations between the President’s lawyers and Mueller’s investigators. Either Mueller’s team leaked what they had compiled (in which case they were the distilled, edited questions that the Trump team had) or Trump’s team sent the vetted / edited list of questions back to Mueller’s team which then leaked them.

No matter how it happened, it is most likely from the Mueller team and the leak is unethical at the least and maybe illegal to release attorney / client privileged information.

Why are these bastards still walking around free?
Last I looked Sedition is still a crime.
What does Washington think the reaction of 60 million voters having their vote stolen by the deep state will be?
I have no faith in the IG any more as they said their report would be available in December...they are ALL snakes, every one.
And now that trash muller requests that Flynns ‘sentencing’ be pushed back 2 months...he knows Flynn committed no crime...but it is still okay to jail an honest man.
The FBI, CIA and DOJ are criminal cancer.
Once again I ask what does Washington think the reaction of 60 million voters having their vote stolen by the deep state will be?
Pissed.

Mueller and Rosensteins’ families vacationed together, they are that close.

Exactly right.

There have been articles lately about the crimes that the deep state skunks may be charged with. Almost all of them are based on lying. That is like charging an underaged kid with illegal possession of beer.

Where are charges of Conspiracy, Sedition and Treason not being proposed with appropriate penalties?

This slow-walk coup is reprehensible and this damned nightmare isn’t going to end.

CBS Evening Snooze’s Jeff Glor excitedly said tonight that 19 indictments were made with Trump associates among them. He obviously didn’t say that most were for Russians who will never be prosecuted, one for possible crimes with Manafort before Trump was on the scene, and the balance for “process” crimes.

Still a big, fat ZERO for Mueller.

The NYT story claims the list was compiled by Trump’s lawyers but they obtained it from a third party outside the legal team.

Agreed, but whoever leaked it got it from Trump's legal team. The question is how.

Why would Trump's team vet the questions they compiled with Mueller? Mueller isn't going to do Trump any favors. Why tell them anything?

There is a quote, from the days of the McCarthy hearings concerning penetration of the Department of the Army by Communist agents, when the defense attorney, Joseph Welch, turned to McCarthy and said, “Have you no sense of decency, sir? At long last, have you left no sense of decency?”

That was the applause line that broke the back of the McCarthy hearings.

The same line should be directed at Robert Mueller. Neither he nor any of his team have any of that sense of decorum, courtesy or decency. Paul Manafort was roughhoused far beyond any degree of civilized conduct.

Apparently it was a “negotiation” to agree on which questions would be asked by Mueller of the President. That’s my take.

“...the deepstate is still spying...”

I have suggested on threads here months ago that the deep state is still spying. Why would they stop? They are still in charge of the spy agencies.

Just like in the past, you give everyone a slightly different version of the questions and see which one makes it into the NYT. Then you have the leaker. You could even have a version that was shared with Mueller.

No - the list is what Mueller was proposing - turns out almost none of the questions dealt with the original 9reason for the investigation) collusion and many were general enough that they had no purpose other than to try to trap Trump in a falsehood/memory fart or anything else they could come up with. Mueller’s folks have leaked a lot over the course of the investigation and I wouldn’t put it past them to have done it and blame others because the questions are obviously not designed to get at any truths or anything dealing with the original premise of the investigation.

“Compiled during negotiations:”

If I had been in the meeting representing the President, I would have wanted to have listed questions summarizing each point made during the negotiations. When the meeting was over, both sides would have had the list.

Mueller’s team of anti Trumper seditonists has been leaking the whole time. There is nothing ethical about Mueller’s inquisition. It is the only chance the Rats have to stop the legitimate investigations into Hillary, Hussein, Roseinstein, Mueller himself in Uranium 1 cover up, and on and on

So far, the tactic of using illegitimate investigations to stop the legitimate investigations has been working well. The RATS cannot let the public know for example that Hussein himself used Hillary’s illegal email server. Once any RAT is investigated, the whole pack of RATS will be at risk.

Time to fire Mueller and Rosenstein. This latest leak provides more than enough reason to do so.
