Without question. Imagine having a notoriously dishonest prosecutor with an agenda and an unlimited budget, and the media behind him, going after you - looking for ANYTHING he can somehow spin and hang on you. Imagine trying to do your job during that.
Make no mistake. This can affect the North Korea negotiations. If Kim and his regime get the impression that Trump is under fire in the US, they'll wait him out.
Honestly, to fix the nation we need to replace most of Congress with people from the general populace. We can no longer afford to elect people who all went to the same overrated universities and law schools (and they are immensely overrated).
Yale and Harvard Law schools encourage and help their students to do externships in government in DC. They even guide/help them to get security clearance. Why? Because this perpetuates the connections between these overrated institutions and control of government. It is destructive to our democracy.
Funny how the left constantly gives lip service to 'diversity', but see no problem with having the entire Supreme Court and a huge number in our government all coming from a few universities. This has dramatically reduced the talent pool in government, and is a big reason the US has been underperforming as a nation.
Interesting observation. Our Founding Fathers *planned* for Congress to be populated by people from the general populace. It was meant to be a part time gig.
The last thing our Founders wanted were career politicians. Patriots were to serve there country briefly, then return to their farms and businesses in the Real World, not spend a lifetime slopping at the public trough.
