Thursday on ABC’s “The View,” co-host Whoopi Goldberg said if President Donald Trump supports waterboarding he should “try it.”
After playing a clip of Trump saying “torture works,” Goldberg said, “Well I would like to say is —I would like you to try it.”
She continued, “I think people who have actually been tortured, who are saying that this is not a good thing, you should listen to them because you have never been tortured and neither has Dick Cheney.”

There’s not total agreement that waterboarding is torture. There is not total agreement on what is immoral. There is certainly not total agreement on what “enhanced interrogation” is.
Gina Haspel, the nominee for CIA directory, in her answers to “enhanced interrogation” questions, never said she wouldn’t approve of waterboarding or any form of enhanced interrogation.
She said she wouldn’t do anything that was against our laws or that she deemed immoral.

To a liberal, just listening to a conservative speak is torture, so it’s not surprising that they think waterboarding is torture.

After 911 there were a couple of satirical fictional articles that said GW Bush and his people harshly picked on some Muslims just because they were Muslims and all they wanted to do was take jet flying lessons about takeoffs without landings. It is important for terrorists and other enemies to NOT know what will happen to them. Make a list of all the horrible things that could happen and they will be more encouraged to talk. Tell them they will be treated with kid gloves and the will shut up.

Water boarding makes terrorists uncomfortable for the purpose of protecting innocents. It would be unethical not to waterboard them.
I suspect that will never happen, but if it does than yup, he ought to get harsh interrogations just like every scumbag terrorist we capture should.

Great, great idea!! Wouldn’t it be fun to watch the heads explode if Trump was to announce that henceforth, all interrogations of those oh! so sweet terrorists would be forced to watch just one segment of The View? Whenever the subject is in front of him, he could announce a different TV show as the new interrogation technique..adding all those stupid nighttime “comedy” shows....
Or - great idea you had - we can expand on that and include speeches by Hillary about why she lost the 2016 election! They’d be pleading for suicide pills!
