Police were called to a school in Connecticut after a student built a gun out of Legos, according to a local news report.
Authorities were called to Jepsen Magnet School in New Haven after a student, who has not been identified, “made the gun and started pointing it at the other kids,” FOX61 reported.
In a statement, a spokesperson for New Haven Public Schools told the news station that “school leaders and local police partners were able to investigate and resolve the issue internally with use of restorative practices.”

A few short years ago this would have been laughed at by the police. They wouldn't have even responded. But now we have nothing but total idiots in control of our schools and law enforcement.

And yet, a student (can’t remember the school) last week does a large canvas of a spear going through Trumps mouth in a horrific devilish sceneand is celebrated.
Who are local police partners? What are restorative practices? I know the words, but this must be from a manual written by a PHD. A collaborative effort, if you will.
When I was in grade school (1960s) we were allowed to bring our toy guns to school and play with them at recess. Nobody freaked out. How times have changed.
Yep, I recall hearing that. What the heck is going on in school, in this world?? We overreact and respond inappropriately to events.
I wonder what would have happened to me in this environment? I remember in 3rd or 4th grade, that a bunch of the boys in class played swordfights with rulers. I can just imagine how something like that would be dealt with today.
And at recess, sometimes we played war games, and someone would find a stick and pretend it was a machine gun.
And this would shock today’s school authorities. In playing war games, we split into teams and pretended it was World War II. And some team would be the “Japs”. Holy cow, they would perform some functions in their pants nowadays, over kids behaving in that manner, I’m sure.
Ironically, legos are probably the only thing that little turd has to play with, aside from his own little ‘lego’.
Teacher Union is unqualified to teach children.

When I was in grade school, I had a thing for the Flash Gordon serials. I was forever drawing spaceships firing at this and that, then started drawing a Beetle Bailey type war comic. No one paid the slightest attention.
