Admiral McMullen must be a rear admiral. The guy is down on everything except John McCain and Iran, what a putz

A few things everyone should know about Generals and Admirals. To be promoted to that rank, the Senate has to approve your promotion. Something like the vote on Federal Judges.

As the Rush has pointed out on more than one occasion, there are Generals who are fighting men and there are pussies who are political animals.

Since the Senate must approve of the promotion, and since MOST of the Senators are either Commies or RINOs, I would be willing to bet that the Majority of Generals/Admirals are like the execrable Colin Powell. He being the good example of promoting the political over the capable

As Charles Lane noted correctly, the CIA does immoral things every day.

I was waiting for Rove to comment about the similarity of the Mueller investigation and Immorality. But he did not

Let's not misread the Alabama election last December.

What many appear to miss or overlook is the fact that the Turtle has been active in the Alabama election by putting up large amounts of $$$ for negative commercials on the North Alabama Congress critter (Is he a member of the Freedom Caucus?)

The Turtle did the same in WV by supporting the former Dem, recently turned Rep. (Jenkins) in that primary. The Turtle is using the same methodology as Soros in the campaigns he has personal interest in.

The major talking points of the day

My goodness, someone in the White House mentioned, in a very uncool manner, that John McCain is about to die.

So it wasn’t nice but all day, every talk show the hosts demand an apology from people who weren’t even there, didn’t hear it and didn’t want to get involved.

Highlight of Fox News Sunday:

Sec. of State Mike Pompeo does great job on this, his first interview in his new position.

We’re still disagreeing. Moore would have won without the MSM lying through their teeth on the young women/girls tears and false outrage.

For myself, I looked through that just as I had the Trump “pussy-grab” kerfuffle. It was the media out of control, not the candidate.

Maybe I should have reported more often about it, but I’m known (in real life) as a fairly political and outspoken person, and did meet up with various people I know who I’ve talked politics with over the times.

The ones that are very religious... I’m not sure you have these like we do in Alabama, but I mean the type that go to bible study every Wednesday, all day Church on Sunday (go home for lunch and then back at 5:00 0r 6:00 PM)... Who always make a big point of praying, talking about Jesus, ask you on first meeting “What church do you go to?”, etc. These folks were the biggest disappointment to me.

That’s because they were all so happy to support Roy Moore over the 10 Commandments rock in the Supreme Court thing 10 years ago, fussing over it, seeing him in campaign after campaign spewing those religious dog whistles, etc. Well, I asked so many, “So, did vote (yesterday, two days ago, last week, two weeks ago, etc., etc.)?

9 out of 10 did NOT. They all had excuses. They all bitched about the media. BUT, the media’s sexual accusation campaign worked.

Without it, most of these people (more women then men) would have voted for Moore.

You can bank on it.

Moore was not a bad candidate for Alabama. He sure talked the talk for the Religious Right. And he kept getting elected, even when he was shown the door.

But all that had a price. People believed he had sinned with those girls, or wasn’t telling the truth, and the gossip did him in as much a Jim Baker, Tammy Faye and Jimmy Swaggart. Look how fast they were dumped once the truth hit.

The problem with Moore, was, even if he did it, I didn’t care, but my view is a minority view here.

I am a Catholic, and I still ally with the Religious Right, but sometimes they can be the biggest hypocrites!

What a great post. I worked in the 80s with a former Shah undersecretary of Defense...that guy knew it forward-backward-sideways and was ever so grateful the US spirited him and his extended family out...

You gotta remember we are politically astute here. We are at most 1%.The rest are way down the scale politically. Most can’t,dont bother to, put the bigger picture together and don’t get it.If we don’t explain it to them the drivebys will.
IT has to be done Limbaugh style, throw it in their face so simple that they cant help but get it.

Looks like this guy Stefan Halper could be the secret FBI guy who went undercover.
................
Stefan Halper, the suspected (private or gov’t) intelligence agent who met w/ both Carter Page & George Papadopoulos, was once registered foreign agent for Romania. Interesting job description:

“The registrant will ID 3 journalists each month willing to travel to Romania..”

Stefan Halper’s name keeps coming up in Russiagate. He is close to Sir Richard Dearlove, the former chief of MI6 and a ‘collusion’ conduit.

In Feb 2016, Roger Stone published a book ‘Jeb and the Bush Crime Family’ he outs Halper as being a member of Bush ‘dirty tricks’ staff

interesting same link as before.

We’re still disagreeing. Moore would have won without the MSM lying through their teeth on the young women/girls tears and false outrage.

Moore was a lousy candidate. When you look at Moore's electoral history, it is very obvious that Moore was not the strongest candidate the Reps could have nominated. In 2006 he only received 33% of the vote in the GOP primary for governor. In the 2010 GOP primary for governor, he came in fourth with 19% of the vote. Moore barely won his race for SC Justice with just 52% of the vote. In the 2017 special election he received 39% in the primary and 55% in the runoff. He lost to Jones garnering 48% of the vote.

If Luther Strange or Mo Brooks had been the nominee, the Dems would have lost. Moore was a polarizing candidate not just for the electorate at large, but also for the GOP. The lack of turnout can be attributed more to that fact than the attacks by the MSM.

Moore was not a bad candidate for Alabama. He sure talked the talk for the Religious Right. And he kept getting elected, even when he was shown the door.

He barely kept being reelected. The very high Dem turnout was the deciding factor. It was astonishing that Jones received almost as many votes as Hillary did in 2016.

Other factors: I don't know if you heard Hannity's interview with Moore re the alleged scandal. Despite Hannity trying to give him a friendly venue, Moore did a terrible job of defending himself. It hurt him among Rep voters and depressed turnout. Trump endorsed Strange initially, which also hurt Moore even after he secured the nomination.

When the primary took place, I voted for Mo.

When it came down to Strange versus Moore, I voted Strange, even though he got the Sessions seat through chicanery with the embattled ex-governor, Bentley. But Strange couldn’t beat Moore.

When Moore ran against Jones, I voted. I voted for Moore, of course.

I would never not vote. It is a bad choice, and voting is a civic duty.

I just had to waterboard 6 squirrels that kept eating my bird food, they just don't get it,a lot like Nicole.

LOL. I have been having the same problem here. The squirrels have taken over the bird feeder. It has been a longstanding problem. And we have to take it in at night because the raccoons knock it down and empty it out. Any solutions?

kabar, it's 9:30pm Sunday night and I'm just now able to get time to read through today's thread. I sympathize with your and rod's squirrel troubles. You might want to check out the following item I read about a few years ago. It's called the Yankee Flipper Bird Feeder. Here are a few links:

Why didn’t any of these MSM knuckleheads have John F’n Kerry on to explain how he is undermining President Trump? Kerry’s quest is to ensure that the Islamic Republic of Iran WILL get nuclear-tipped weapons.

The dems seldom have meaningful runoffs. The party picks and chooses who will run and then they lie their asses off to try and get elected.Once elected they are owned by the dem party.

They can't run of what they believe,socialism/communism so they copy us and pretend to be us only better.Since the drivebys are covering for them 24/7 many voters don't figure it out. So once again it's up to us to get the job done. We not only have to pick good candidates but let the moderates know what happens to a compromised dem candidates that wins. He becomes hard left over night. One thing we need to learn is never to try and convert the hard left. They are brainwashed, hopeless and hapless. Our targets should always be other conservatives first and moderates second. Bray wrote the book on all that.
