The danger of letting whiteness walk off with our joy, our peace, our sense of dignity and self-love, is ever present. As a black woman working in white spaces, my perception of racial dynamics has been questioned, minimized, or denied altogether.”
These words are from Austin Channing Brown’s new book, “I'm Still Here: Black Dignity in a World Made for Whiteness,” released this week.

Well, why IS she still here? There are plenty of countries where none of the police are white, none of the politicians are white, where you probably won't see almost any white people. If white devils are such a horrible burden to be around, why doesn't she pick one of these countries and go live there?

I have never asked a black co-worker questions about their blackness nor have I ever seen someone do so.
I have been working in IT for over 40 years in office environments that always have black people.
This is an invented meme, like feeling black people’s hair.

Yes, and according to 2010 data blacks were 15% of the world population, whites 16%. Both groups are minorities when compared to Asians. Why is it a world made for ‘whiteness’?
