I don’t.
I have a Kindle Fire HD that came with Alexa. I turned it off. I have an iPhone and turned Siri off.
He didn't like calling it "Alexa" so I changed it so it now responds to "Computer" instead.
Oh, the other thing he uses a lot is the timer/reminder: “Computer, remind me to call _____ at 9 o’clock.”
If you don’t use Alexa then you are not an Alexa user!

I don’t like the idea of Alexa either. However, most (all?) smartphones also have a similar capability to listen in on our normal (non-phone) conversations.

Rarely. When I watch anything, it's generally on my computer. I never thought I'd ever get to the place in my life at which technology would have passed me by, but I just have no desire at this point to keep up. That said, I understand the power and attraction of technology.
From what I’ve heard, I just don’t see the value in having such a device.
Technology is always changing. If I learn more about how it makes your life easier, delivers great service or value to you , better than the alternative, then I will consider getting one .
Some people are early adopters of new technology, and some lag behind, as they wait for family and friends to learn about the devices and tell them how it adds to the whole quality of your life .
I received my Echo Dot as a Christmas gift. I got weather reports only at first. Now I mainly use it to listen to Talk Radio.
