A Florida police K-9 officer is facing disciplinary action after he posted a disturbing comment on Facebook in a thread about a "die-in" protest at a supermarket.
Information about the protest at Publix, where nationally-known Parkland student David Hogg and other students outlined 17 bodies in the parking lot, was posted on a Coral Springs/Parkland Facebook page, the Sun-Sentinel reports.
Brian Valenti, who has been with Coconut Creek Police Department for 23 years, wrote "hope some old lady loses control of her car in that lot" under a photo of Hogg, who organized the event.

23 year veteran police officer faces discipline for internet joke about Hogg.
More proof that Social Media is the end of the world as we know it.
More proof that even a 23 year police veteran can be unbelievably stupid! Everyone, with a brain, should know not to make comments like this publicly if they have more than just a reputation on the line.
“David Hogg and other students outlined 17 bodies in the parking lot”
Humm, proper outcome would be them being charged with defacing private property and interfering with interstate commerce.

Scott Adams (Dilbert) gives a YouTube presentation on what constitutes a joke. According to Scott there are six elements and a joke is a joke if it contains any two. They are:
cute
naughty
bizarre
clever
recognizable
cruel
He then gave as examples Trump’s joke about McCain “I prefer men who weren’t captured,” the Kathy Griffin’s severed Trump head and the debacle at the White House Press Corp dinner. Whether a joke works depends on where on the curve of Danger vs. Funny it hits. Somewhere along that graph is a line labeled funny. (The more dangerous it is, the funnier it can be; but the greater risk the joke teller is taking. Kathy went over the line and Trump’s joke fell flat.)
The problem is that the Left sees nothing it doesn’t agree with as funny. And, at least 30% of the general audience has zero sense of humor. Also, as I have learned on FR, people tend to see things you say through their own filter rather than how you intended them, even if you were clear.
By this time, people in general and especially those who are employed should know that it is not safe to say anything on line. The local school system here sent around a warning to all teachers that if they said anything on Facebook or other social media that makes it into the press or is brought up at a meeting may be fired. They school system recommends no internet presence at all.
Did the dog hump Hogg’s leg or something?
Brian Valenti has the same First Amendment rights as Roseanne Barr (NONE), for the same reason.
In other news, “Fine, see how fast a cop responds when you need him” is still an acceptable response by LEO whenever someone criticizes their actions.
No freedom of speech for him.
Try to imagine David Hogg drafted in 1968 and in basic training.
No, he had freedom of speech, he used it, he just thought or rather didn’t think thru the consequences of his actions.
It’s a good thing that the Founding Fathers didn’t think that way.
That is a shame, to have the officer face disciplinary charges over this disgusting little commie puke. I’d like to see Hogg off the radar permanently, banned from all social media and TV cameras. The only person to whom he is important or what he has to rant is important, is his little self.
“Florida police officer directs violent Facebook comment at Parkland student David Hogg”
It was NOT “violent”. At most, it was merely suggestive of violence in an unlikely scenario.
I find it easier to imagine he volunteered in 1930s Germany.
(This picture is not photoshopped. Hogg really did wear that armband.)
