"It’s unbelievable that he is in prison."

I couldn't believe that someone could be picked up off the street, taken to a court, and sentenced the same day to prison. Reminded me of the term "drumhead court martial." But Robinson is not a member of the military. He's a UK citizen. Too bad they don't treat the muzzles in the UK the same. Terrorists have more rights than a UK citizen.

Yes, it was something like 6 hours? While it took them more years than that to even notice what the muslim rapists were doing.

Mind sharing the web address for that Europeon forum that banned you? I’d like to give it a shot at getting banned, too!

My understanding is it is only CERTAIN trails. They’ve justified these options in the name of “protecting the integrity of the trial”. I call BS. This gives them the option to have a sham trial in secret, either for or against the defendant.

What happened to Tommy:

* Reported published facts outside courthouse during sentencing
* Was charged with one crime
* Was dragged into a secret hearing and is convicted of a different charge
* Did not have his own attorney present
* The same judge had him arrested, convicted him, sentenced him
* Then placed a gag order on his arrest

This is what I expect of N. Korea, China, Iran, etc...NOT THE UK.

The contortions that the UK media are going through to justify this is disgusting. Again we have media collusion to report a consistent theme, that the “far right” trouble-maker broke the law and this was all done correctly. Those that hate Tommy think it is all just fine, they’re unable to comprehend unjust laws.

The real problem is that they have nothing that limits the types of laws the government can enact. They come up with some BS reasons for needed secret trials, make it law, and the lemmings on the left believe if it is law it must be ok. Every totalitarian government has laws, it doesn’t make them just.

These people are evil.

Pointy steak knives? Bah! Cock the crossbow and go upon a hunt with bodkin tipped bolts—the original anti-armor solution. Even small broad-head have some efficacy at less than ten yard range, faced with standard ballistic fabrics.

It sounds like the British public or at least a majority of it are just as put off and distrustful of their political/media establishment as we are of ours. They need an outsider as PM.

The perfect choice would be Nick Farage. The next best choice would be Daniel Hannan.

It’s illegal in Britain to report the details of some trials before they conclude — a long-standing law designed to prevent the news from biasing juries and causing prosecutions to collapse, according to Leeds Live.

Can't speak for Great Britain, but the in the U.S. the inevitable consequence of this unConstitutional "bias" legal hand grenade totally rendered the 6th Amendment useless.

I do not recall any Constitutional Amendment introducing the requirement of bias (whose definition?) or its absence into the legal process.
Any such law can be as easily repealed as it was created.

"Jury of his peers," never was intended to mean the absurd interpretation that a mass murderer can only be judged by a jury consisting only of other mass murderers!

What about the D Notice? I did see today that The Daily Telegraph had a blurb about it.

Awwww, c'mon!
What's a D notice?

It’s not Twitter talk. It is the British law that allows the government to ban the press from talking about issues (or cases). It’s being used in this case.

Before the internet came along...the court could have shut down everything from the TV ‘mafia’ to the newspapers...using Article 10, which was created in 1998.

OK, I give up.
Article 10 of what?

They do publication bans here in Canada too, following the old British tradition.

However, since most of our major cities are near the US border, there were several high-profile court cases that were media-gagged in Canada, but people could get around by simply watching the cable feed from the non-gagged American channels in adjacent cities (Vancouver-Seattle, Sarnia-Detroit, Toronto-Buffalo, etc.)

Thank you. That, I can understand.

*sigh*
For whatever it's worth, now I have to go swim in the muck of Limey Law...

Those poor embarrassed Members of Parliament can’t stand it that the entire planet has seen them going down on their knees for a gang of moslem teens and twenty-somethings.

Especially since one courageous citizen filmed it all and showed them up for the cowards they are.

Article 10 was their bill of rights on freedom of speech...rewrote by the Labor Party in 1998, as they walked into the EU. An American would freak out over the areas it covers. All of this business with Tommy Robinson....touches on the core of Article 10 and various bits/pieces.

The politicians over in England protect pedophiles like the BBC children show / music promoter Jimmy Saville because many at the BBC and in Parliament and I guess the court system are child rapists. He died before he could be prosecuted but there have been many arrests since.

“I was banned from a largely European forum over this case. Many of the posters were wishing bodily harm on Robinson in prison.”

They’re the face of the EUSSR. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was Reddit - where calls to violence are AOK if you’re of the right stripe.

“They were outraged that I called them the same type of Europeans that would think nothing of throwing people in camps and executing their opposition in the 30’s and 40’s then after the war would cry that they were the “good Germans” when they were ultimately defeated.”

They’re outraged that you would speak the truth.
