Who among us has Gods authority to deny a sinner the “right” to read the word of God? They need it more than anyone

Wanna explain someday to God that you a human denied a sinner the opportunity to seek God?

yup. denying the ONE thing that can and does change a wicked man’s heart to repent, turn from his evil ways and be forgiven. It’s sad when ‘Better-than’’s want to close the door when they’re already on the Ark.

I am not a proponent of government deciding which religions are OK. That is precisely what the Constitution’s “anti-establishment of religion” clause is intended to prevent.

The IRS has had a bitch of a time with this, however, (seeking to limit or deny religious-related deductions or exemptions), as have local property tax authorities(people declaring their homes to be churches and thus off the tax rolls, ha!).......... and its been quite amusing ...

So secular government is going to tell religions what are mandatory parts of their faiths?

And before someone says child sacrifice, we have laws against murder and animal cruelty and hygiene laws all peoples are under.

This is being able to read the book of your faith.

He has three bibles on his cell. Obviously they have done nothing for him.

If the prisoner was threatening to hit people over the head with a bible, if he was eating the pages as a way to sicken himself, or if he was likely to hide contraban within the book, i could see refusing him a bible, or any large book.
If that is not the case, then why?

I'm sure that is just what Jesus would say. < /sarcasm>

Have YOU read YOUR Bible? It doesn't imply what you suggest in any shape form or fashion. Shame on you.

No. Rights are not given by man and cannot be taken away by man. Men can and do require some rights to be exercised with some restrictions, but one doesn’t lose the right to worship God or to turn to Him due to criminal conviction.

Do a search on the incarcerated gentleman. He has filed several suits on various matters. The Rutherford Institution is wrong on this. There is good reason for prisons to ban certain materials to inmates in solitary. Not for content but for the potential they can be used for other purposes. The court is upholding precedent and if you read the ruling you will see that Hoever still continued religious practice while in solitary. If he was denied a Bible and other material once back in general population I would agree with the outrage shown here. But it appears that Hoever is a jail house lawyer looking for any means to tie the prison up in court. Here is a link to the ruling.

Just to refresh your memory, you said:

He is Sex Offender. He sexually assaulted children. Christians do not sexually assault children. He has no right to a Bible while in solitary confinement.

Let's examine your statement(s), shall we?

-----

He is Sex Offender. This means he is a sinner. Much like you...

He sexually assaulted children. And sex offenses are sins for which Christ died, much like He died for yours...

Christians do not sexually assault children. Christians are not immune to sinning, but there are some Christians who seem to think that other's sins are more egregious than THEIR OWN pet sins or that THEIR OWN pet sins aren't real sins, much as you seem to imply is your belief.

He has no right to a Bible while in solitary confinement. While some authority may determine what rights and what books he might have in solitary, based on the direction you took this discussion via your comments I am extremely interested in hearing your BIBLICAL reasoning for this last statement (especially in the light of Luke 19:10) since through the Word he might come to repent, something that you would deny him the right to because you seem to think that your sin(s) are somehow less sinful than his.

You seem to be (only) one who would throw the rock in the story recounted for us by the Apostle John in the Gospel that bears his name. You can read about it in chapter eight.

It's really hard to miss since it's right there in the first 11 verses..
