I get the feeling Kennedy is about to retire.

Let’s have a “what’s going to happen first!” game.

A. Hillary Clinton will get charged for her crimes.
B. John McCain will stop breathing.
C. One of those fossils on the Supreme Court will retire.
D. Maxine Waters will apologize to Donald Trump and offer to wash his car.
E. Jeff Sessions will wake up and remember he has some kind of job in the government.
F. The IG report will not only “come out,” but we’ll actually get to know what’s in it.

And the question of the day is:

Does the court's statements in the Masterpiece opinion regarding religious bias foreshadow the result in the Trump Travel Ban case, where the challengers are arguing that various statements by candidate Trump or President Trump show that the restrictions on travel from certain countries were motivated by religious hostility?

“Can’t wait for the fake news to dissect this one.”

Narrow victory for cake baker.

I predict the President wins on that one. Justice Kennedy seems more hell-bent on protecting Obergefell than anything else.

The PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES HAS AND SHOULD HAVE FREE REIGN TO SET THE IMMIGRATION POLICIES OF THIS COUNTRY! (Sorry for yelling).

Narrow victory for cake baker.

No it's not. It's a warning to the commission to clean up its act, and rule consistently and not arbitrarily or capriciously. The majority note that the law in Colorado has changed from what was in place at the time. If I were a bakeshop, I would either sell folks what they want or close up shop altogether, not resting the security of my economic future on the sanctity of my faith based decisions.

#4: "Kagan???"

It's interesting but Kagan and Clarence Thomas have become good friends. And I do believe that she behaves more rationally than she otherwise might because of that friendship.

Narrow Victory is how some in the press have reported this decision.

it was decided on free exercise grounds

It was not. It was decided on a the grounds that the tribunal was overtly biased and ruled inconsistently with past determinations. No one should take any comfort from this decision whatsoever.

For some reason the story says that 7 to 2 is a narrow vote. That sounds like the spin you were talking about

The muzzle cab drivers are already transporting alcohol in the form of gasoline components.

"It was not. It was decided on a the grounds that the tribunal was overtly biased"

And the basis of the bias was a refusal to consider the free exercise rights of the baker. The court clearly ruled that free exercise was implicated and even established a balancing test on how free exercise considerations must be considered.

Muzzies should be warned, can’t be driving any vehicle that has ethanol mixed with gasoline; need a sign stating that this vehicle contains alcohol. I understand they don’t even use those Hand sanitizer’s since they have alcohol in them which explains a lot about their hygiene habits.

Agreed. This commission will just be less “blatant” when it comes back.

A top 10 reason, out of 4,367 reasons, why it's critical the (R)'s hold both the House and Senate this fall.

House - So no fake impeachment happens.
Senate - So more conservative justices are confirmed...and not just potential SCOTUS.

Looking at SCOTUS blog a narrow ruling. The majority decision was the so called Civil Rights Commission was biased against people of faith. The court did not decide if the state has the ability to force the baker to make the cake.

The commission hearing was a show trial and the Supreme Court rightly called the commission out on it. The bigger issue (forcing the baker to make the cake) will eventually make it way to the Supreme Court. Hopefully, President Trump will have made more appointments to the Court by then.
