Except Kagan was part of the majority this time.

So, I guess we can expect all the pending and formerly decided cases such as this to be dismissed in the defendants’ favor? Baronelle Stuzman in WA, Elane Photography in NM, Sweet Cakes in OR, etc?

Not much, if the other posters comments are correct. No decision was made on whether the state can force someone to bake a cake. Only how the process by which such coercion may be ordered.

Cool, I was on our HS’s chess club, 6 man board team. Still, I joined USCF, played in tournaments, but nothing less than a mediocre even lower average type player.

Sotomayor and Ginsburg are the two who opposed this ruling.

Was Ginsberg's signature a couple of drops of drool on the paper?

This is what non insane people knew would happen in a non insane court. Everybody involved in trying to force people to serve homosexuals needs to be punished.

It’s ironic that we didn’t need Kennedy’s swing vote in this case. Maybe he’s just a grandstander who wanted to be seen with the majority?

So the Fat Yenta actually joined the majority, leaving the Shriveled up Capo and the Unwise Latrina as the no votes?

The ruling was narrow in its scope. SCOTUS didn't rule on what we considered the underlying constitutional issue.

"It is proper to hold that whatever the outcome of some future controversy involving facts similar to these, the Commission's actions here violated the Free Exercise Clause, and its order must be set aside.'That requirement," the court concludes, "was not met here. When the Colorado Civil Rights Commission considered this case, it did not do so with the religious neutrality that the Constitution requires.

So exactly what were the Flintstones doing when they had a “gay old time”?

In at least one state with such prosecution, that state itself did not recognize same sex marriages at the time.

What a wonderful day!! No longer can you force Christians to serve homesexuals!! No law can abridge our freedom of religion!! There are many ramifications. I do not and will not serve people I do not believe are going to Heaven!1 Do I have to ser4ve Muslims? The answer is now “NO” by a vote of 7-2.

““gay old time”?”

They weren’t sodomizing each other.

> I object to my government’s use of the word “gay” to describe homosexuals. <

I agree, and it’s just another example of how liberals are warping the language. Just like how “illegal aliens” are now “undocumented immigrants” or “dreamers”.

Oops, I’m not supposed to say “liberals” anymore. They are now “progressives”.

Narrow refers to the holding. The votes were 7-2 because Kennedy peppered the opinion with pro-sodomite dicta. The press is already in full spin mode to twist this as a complete victory for the perverts. Sodomite Kennedy did everything that he could to make this as pro-sodomite as possible without ruling for the sodomites, such much so, that even the lesbo Kagan and demented Breyer joined the opinion. The Obama judges on the various Court of Appeals will twist this as a pro-sodomite ruling. Kennedy has to go. Every Christian in this country should pray that he retires at the end of this term. I firmly believe that this would have been a home-run victory for people of faith if he weren’t on the court.

BTW, Anyone who was worried about Gorsuch on homosexual issues needs to read Thomas’ concurring opinion that Gorusch joined. Gorsuch rightly sees that the narrow holding of the Court here ignored the Free Speech and Association aspects of this case. Gorsuch and Thomas clearly would hold for people of faith. I am certain that Alito would too. We need Kennedy to go and Trump to appoint another Gorsuch before we have a court that actually respects people of faith.

“They are now “progressives”.”

They were ‘rprogressives’ over 100 years ago. They’ve always lied to themselves. The mentally ill do that.
