59 pages. Oof. That’s going to be “narrow”, all right. I’m sure they’re slicing and dicing the facts and the law with laser beams to make sure that there’s something for everyone to point at and say, ha, see I’ve been right along.

Funny, everytime I hear the word ‘gay’ I think of Cary Grant. Don’t know if he was gay or not.

It’s a shame that an American citizen has to go all the way up to the supreme court to enjoy the tenents of our Constitution: Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Worse yet, encounter public harassment, legal hurdles and the mental stress of trying to pursue those freedoms while perverts and those who have such contorted mindsets so as to imagine they are not the sex they were born as, cause such hardships on those LAW ABIDING CITIZENS who dare to exercise their rights under our Constitution. The wholesome (Norman Rockwell) America died in the latter 60’s and became a zoo for all types of freaks and radicals.

I’m not sure its as narrow as some are saying. I haven’t read the whole thing and it appears that the court ruled that free exercise of religion included religious activity. The left has argued for years that “free exercise” is just freedom of belief or freedom of worship, essentially freedom of religious speech. This goes beyond that.

At least the cake shop owners can now sue to State of Colorado for violation of their civil rights.

All you need to kow is that the anti- Christan law was struck down hard!! “The justices, in a 7-2 decision, faulted the Colorado Civil Rights Commission’s handling of the claims brought against Jack Phillips, saying it had showed a hostility to religion. In doing so, the commission violated his religious rights under the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.”
We now have a 7-2 decision that laws that force Christians to sell to anyone they object to on moral grounds is violation of the united States constitution!!” What a great day for American. No law can tell me who to serve if it offends my religious beliefs !! Thank you COURT and Thank you God!!

How old are you? LOL

Yabba-dabba-doo!

Flintstones, meet the Flintstones
They’re the modern Stone Age Family
From the town of Bedrock
They’re a page right out of history

Let’s ride with the family down the street
Through the courtesy of Fred’s two feet

When you’re with the Flintstones
Have a yabba-dabba-doo time
A dabba-doo time
We’ll have a gay old time

Flintstones, meet the Flintstones
They’re the modern Stone Age Family
From the town of Bedrock
They’re a page right out of history

Someday maybe Fred will win the fight
Then the cat will stay out for the night

When you’re with the Flintstones
Have a yabba-dabba-doo time
A dabba-doo time
We’ll have a gay old time

If it was 9-0, it still would be called “Narrow”. You know, a 9 vote margin is almost a tie.
Lying bastwards.

The right to say NO is the basis for all other rights.

Freedom of association must include freedom *from* association or it's not a freedom at all.

In reading this, it seems to me that SCOTUS has backed itself into a corner. As these fights continue, SCOTUS will end up contradicting itself because of previous decisions. What they’re attempting to do is contrive a “work-around” based on previous liberal rulings when in fact, we all know there was never any Constitutional basis for recognition of same-sex marriage. There was never any Constitutional protection of marriage, period. The government inserted itself into a religious concept when it never should have. It’s like the old adage, when you tell a lie you must continue lying to keep the original lie afloat.

How is 7-2 “narrowly”?

“The left has argued for years that “free exercise” is just freedom of belief or freedom of worship, essentially freedom of religious speech. This goes beyond that.”

The 1st amendment specifically mentioned religion because of this type of ruling. Speech is one thing, religious practice is another. The left wants them to only be the same thing, while also denying freedom of speech for religious purposes.

The 7-2 decision puts the icing on the cake.

Sorry, someone had to say it.

From this and your previous post, you sound like someone who’s trolling this website, trying to make conservatives look bad. In fact, if you look at the Supreme Court decision online, you’ll find that this baker had absolutely no problem providing general service to people who are homosexual. It was because of his objections to same-sex marriage on religious grounds that he would not make the cake. This would certainly not apply to providing general service to people who are homosexual, Muslim, etc.

An article I read said that the 7-2 vote was for a hostile regard to religion by Colorado Commission.

They didn’t come out as strong regarding their right to refuse baking a cake for a protected case.

Not sure I have it 100%, at work, not a lot of time to dig into article.

So the Leftists will have to fall back on going after businesses for violating the ADA in their bathrooms now!
