Actually, Trump may actually be better than Reagan.

That’s my take for a few months now. Ignore what he says. His words are for everyone, including our enemies.

Focus on what he does. He’s more conservative than Reagan was.

...so business owners can spend our money on paying higher wages, instead of on lawyer bills.

Lawyers hardest hit!

No wonder the deep state hates him. :)

President Trump’s success is even more remarkable when you consider the shear amount of damage done by his predecessor. Everything Obama touched was corrupted or bungled. Everything. The dude was a complete disaster.

Great article! Thanks.

Root doesn’t even touch on the true miracle that makes The Trump Economic Miracle even possible. The first and core miracle is that he got elected against the biggest cabal of seditionists, plotters, and treasonists ever assembled who were subverting the election, have refused to accept the results of a free and fair election and are continuing their silent coup d’etat.

“[Obama] was a complete disaster.”

Yet, almost half the country still adores and lionizes him after one of the worst eight year periods in our country’s history. It just shows what happens when you let the marxists and cultural marxists take over education and turn people’s brains to mush.

The party of Big Government does not want to encourage people to be independent of the government, those people vote for Republicans. Single, pregnant women is what they want. And ex-con men with their voting privileges restored, let’s not forget them. Bonus points for illegal immigrants who are paid to register to vote using corrupt motor voter laws. Every little bit helps.

“He’s more conservative than Reagan was”

Why is it that in order to prop up Trump some here feel they need to tear Reagan down?

How can Trump be “more” Conservative than Reagan when Reagan established modern day Conservatism? The trail he’s following was blazed by Reagan. Trump isn’t doing anything new here.

Reagan had the Soviet Union - Trump has Terrorism. Reagan had an even more dismal economy to deal with double digit inflation and double digit interest rates - Trump had a stagnant economy. Reagan had top tax rates of near 70% - Trump had corporate rates of 35%.....to cite a few examples.

That’s not to say Trump hasn’t done great things. He most certainly has. And we applaud him for it but he’s not Reagan and he’s not “more” of anything than Reagan.

Reagan is the standard by which Trump will be judged, rightfully so. Here, the pupil will never surpass the teacher.

I think that was first said by Dizzy Dean

Equally miraculous is that he is doing it all with no help from the Republican Congress, and while the Deep State coup continues working overtime to undermine and destroy him.

People forget that Reagan also used tariffs when needed to make a point, as well as jawboning the Japanese to voluntarily limit car exports to us.

Geez - can we put the world into perspective please? Immigration was no where near the problem it is now back in the 80s.

Sure he got suckered by Kennedy into the ‘86 Act, he admitted so after he left office. But that was not the pressing issue of the 1980s, the Soviet Union was (and by extension US military weakness coming out of Vietnam and promoted by Carter), the economy was, inflation was.............

You can’t overlay today’s big issues back then and say Trump is better on this/that because they don’t fit. Trump is responding to Terrorism/Immigration the same way Reagan did the Soviet Union. But the Conservative mindset of putting the US in a position of strength, but morally and militarily was Reagan’s mantra, not Trump.

Trump is doing great things. Let him finish the job without ripping apart the truly greatest president of the modern era.

That’s all that is requested.

You have to get into the mindset that everything _bama did was on purpose. His actions were done to increase dependence on government, or to lower America's standing in the world, or to put us at a disadvantage with other countries.

Once you start getting into that mindset, you realize that, no, he wasn't some monumental idiot that was in over his head and didn't know what he was doing. He was following a plan laid out to him by his masters.

“Actually, Trump may actually be better than Reagan.”

Man did I ever catch grief here on FR when I said that during the primaries and during the run-up to the election.

Lighten up Francis, Reagan is the standard by which a lot of politicians have been measured by, and now it’s Trump’s turn to be measured by Reagan’s performance.

Just because he exceeds Reagan’s performance isn’t a reason to get all bent out of shape.

Let me put it this way. I usually vote against a presidential candidate. The only time I’ve ever voted “for” one was 1980.

Notice I didn’t include 1984.

I’m not tearing down Reagan though. He really was awesome. It’s just that if you actually look at the policies championed (and passed) by Trump, and compare to those championed and passed by Reagan, as good as Reagan was (and he was amazing), Trump is actually turning out to be better for the conservative cause in his actual actions.

That’s really all I’m saying.
