turned a paint sprayer into a flamethrower

So that's where that out-of-the-blue idea for a flamethrower came from. Lemons and lemonade.

But according to several former Tesla insiders, it’s not a joke.

So let me see, people who have been fired or otherwise parted from Tesla, now speak ill of the company.

Be still my heart...

More than 90 percent of new Model S and X vehicles contained defects requiring rework, Reuters reported in November, citing nine current and former employees. Two sources told The Daily Beast they estimate approximately 90 percent of all vehicles have required repair or rework at Tesla’s “end of line” stations.

I saw a great youtube video a while back where a family of four took a skiing trip in their tesla. They were wearing coats in the car because the heater takes a lot of battery power. There were other challenges too.

I see Teslas as great for situations where you do shopping trips, a short commute, or otherwise use your car within an “urban driving distance” and have lots of free recharge stations.

But I don’t see it as a real car. It’s more like a glorified golf cart. I say that as a person that enjoys road trips and has a 150 mile round trip commute.

Off Topic; Elon Musk making flamethrowers affordable and available to the general public was a dangerously dumb thing to do. Just wait till all the brush fires start, or private homes get burnt down.
Until then, it’s all a big joke to Elon.
A little boy’s flamethrowing fantasy brought to life.

The car manufacturer will pay the piper for selling immature technology.

Truth about high-tech batteries used in cars : they contain as much energy as high explosives, and if something goes wrong that energy is suddenly all releases.

Another truth : as batteries age they deteriorate and become more UNSTABLE. They are complex technology - meaning all the more to go wrong with them. Gasoline tech Automobile technology is 100+ years old, so has winnowed out defective attributes. The potentially explosive part of them is VERY SIMPLE and well contained/controlled.

A co-worker was told his Tesla will arrive a year after he ordered it.

I told him it was shot into space and is in the asteroid belt. It should return in the year 2525.

I would get an electric just because I think I could convince my employer to “go green” and let me charge it at work.

There's been some SJW activity directed at Musk. At Tesla's recent shareholder meeting a group of so-called activist investors tried to get Musk and three directors removed. It failed by a landslide. Musk has been reacting in the negative to the relentless snarking of some in the financial press who recommend shorting the company's stock and saying he needs to pick a business and stick with it.

A couple of days ago the market parasites, oops, sorry, the shorts got trimmed by more than a billion dollars in one day as Tesla's stock rebounded $29 -- so, who needs a new profession more, Musk, or the shorting advocates in the financial press?
