Your pals the Qers decoded the drivel as denoting a Hillary sex tape. I hardly believe that it’s my place to dispute the (ahem) experts.

And on what basis would they impeach him? It can’t be obstruction of justice for firing a recused AG.

Yeah, something’s not right.

Sessions was my adopted Senator given the abusive misrepresentation I get here in NY. I donated to his campaigns.

Sessions stood with Cruz, Lee, and Paul during the Obamacare funding filibuster.

Sessions’ behavior certainly doesn’t make sense.

“And on what basis would they impeach him?

They are waiting for an excuse for impeachment, not a basis.

Sen. Grassley, Sen. Linda Graham are two main blocks to firing Sessions.

Obviously Trump has felt this way for awhile. Why is Sessions still in there then?

Not only should Sessions be shown the door, but DJT needs to make sure Sessions is never again able to hold a position in Congress - make sure his name stinks among conservatives for years to come.

OK, even if there was a good reason for Sessions to recuse himself what stopped him from firing Rosenstein and replacing him with someone else to do the job?

Sessions believes that the longer a person has marinaded in the swamp the more wonderful they are.

Here’s what Sessions went off-script to say on the very day it became public that Rosenstein had signed one of the illegal FISA warrant renewals:

“Rod and Rachel are Harvard graduates, they are experienced lawyers. Rod’s had 27 years in the department, Rachel’s had a number of years in the department previously, so they both represent the kind of quality and leadership we want in the department.”

“...and by recusing himself, Sessions effectively shields Trump from any accusations that the whole investigation was just a political whitewash.”

That’s what it’s all about: the impeach-Trump forces have always been desperate to find some basis for portraying the investigation as a whitewash. They have known all along there was no substance to the collusion charges and that Mueller would come up empty handed. They have always known Trump would be exonerated, so their only hope has been that Trump would make a mistake and do something they could call obstruction.

There are several mistakes Trump could have made that would have allowed them to create that narrative:

1) Trump could have picked an AG who behaved like a political hack, only there to do Trump’s bidding - an AG who would be seen as a “yes man” or “fixer” - there to scrub the crime scene of any evidence against Trump. Someone who could be said to have been chosen to use his position as AG to manage the investigation in Trump’s favor.

2) Trump could have directed Sessions not to recuse himself. By letting Sessions recuse himself (or directing him to) Trump removed that potential weapon from the impeach Trump forces’ arsenal. If Sessions had not recused himself, the Mueller investigation would have been seen as Trump investigating himself.

3) Trump could have made the mistake of publicly coming to Jeff Sessions’ defense - this would have established Sessions as a political hack and given the deep state their “smoking gun” of Trump’s intention to obstruct the investigation. Instead, Trump periodically tweets his disappointment in his AG and DOJ, to make sure the public sees he has no control over the investigation.

4) Trump could have fired Sessions, Rosenstien and/or Mueller in an attempt to end the witch hunt. This was what the impeach-Trump forces hoped for. Fortunately, Trump knew doing so would play into their hands.

I think Trump and Sessions are playing this out beautifully - Trump will be genuinely exonerated by an independant and thorough investigation. Trump has made it impossible for his enemies to accuse him of using his AG or DOJ to whitewash it.

Moreover, it is not an act - at least the part about not interfering with the investigation - Trump is really not interfering. He wanted it to be a real investigation so that when he’s exonerated everyone will have to be satisfied.

Wow, by referring to them by first names, he sort of shows he had a real affection and connection to those rats.

That is absolutely correct.

There is no indication that the announced “special special prosecutor” Huber, has begun to take referrals and/or info from the IG report to begin to indict the players in the farce, this usurpation of the People’s Constitutionally elected President. No indication because the indictments if they are being done, are said to be sealed.

Imagine how all of this would descend on the lib media and the indictees across the US and from obamaumao’s manipulation. Starting, say, with Holder (who is clearly worried and thinks his buddies will prevent this), moving to Comey, McCabe, Brennan, and Clapper. Then on to Rice, Powers, and Yates.... and ALL of the other accomplices in the “operation”. Because the referral from Mueller’s investigation (which is also the purview of Huber, btw) would be ESPIONAGE, and frankly real Sedition and Treason. This happens, and Sessions has not been part of their operation, and doubly brings down terrible justice on the criminal State. End with obamaumao— make him run out of the country to some foreign state. And then send a SEAL team to bring him back for trial. Him and ValJar.

Loyalty is the answer. Sessions was the first Senator to endorse Trump, and Trump is big on loyalty. No doubt Trump also felt that having a US Senator in his cabinet would help smooth things out with the upper body.

Sessions recusing himself from all matters Russia, merely because of Democratic caterwauling in the media, was the dumbest, most boneheaded move ever. It was giving the Dems a gift they never expected to get. Sessions thought he was being a good guy. But being a good guy in WDC will not get you friends but will make you a laughingstock.

Trump values loyalty, but he also has no problem firing people. Has done a lot of it before, and already has done a lot of firing in the last 18 months

Loyalty to Sessions is not the answer

It’s easy to fire Sessions but hard to replace him because of Senate approval. That’s the only reason he has survived this long.
