He might be standing, but he’s having hard time singing.
President Trump appeared to forget the lyrics to “God Bless America” during a White House event Tuesday meant to prove how patriotic he is.
Trump was caught on video singing every other word to the national hymn as a military chorus boomed behind him. On three occasions, Trump gave up singing all together and let the uniform-clad men around him do the vocalizing.
A White House spokesman did not return a request for comment from the Daily News.
The last-minute “Celebration of America” event was put together after Trump cancelled a planned ceremony to honor the Philadelphia Eagles on their Super Bowl win because he said they “disagree” with him on whether or not athletes should stand for the national anthem.

Everyone does that in public when real singers are singing and you want to sing...a little...,too.
Anyone who ever sang along to that song has flubbed the lyrics at one time or another.

I don't sing just as a courtesy to the people around me.
I don’t sing it, either. Not because I can’t remember the words, but out of consideration for those around me.
God Bless America has no standing in this nation.
It’s a nice song, but it IS NOT our national anthem, and frankly, I don’t like it getting equal billing with our national anthem.
The Left wants to do away with our national anthem, and I DO NOT like playing along with the concept.
Our national anthem has the exact words in that first verse, that reminds us the price paid for our freedom.
It kills the Left to hear it, and I say rub their noses in it every time possible.
Totally nuts. Nobody knows more than the first two or three lines, unless they happen to be professionals who have to sing or play it all the time.
We sang it at an Memorial Day event a couple of weeks ago, and I’d say even the military members there only knew the first few phrases.
