“The 400-page report, which was completed several weeks ago and addresses Clinton’s use of her private server for government business, is currently being reviewed by the DOJ and FBI.”

It’ll come out as a 5 page report.

Give the president a copy and let him declassify it, then no need to redact anything.

So the IG investigates DOJ/FBI, and DOJ/FBI gets to “review” it before it gets released?
THAT’S not corrupt sounding at all. /s

That’s only an opportunity for them to alter it before it’s released. The first time they see it should be when everybody else does. Our government is so corrupt at this point...especially the intelligence community.

I’m surprised the IG hasn’t been threatened with Arkancide yet.

Generally the Ig will accept corrections to demonstrable factual errors. Letters of disagreement normally get published as an appendix to the full report, and an ill-advised dissent Ryan lead to dismissal of a key player. Normally you are expe ted to accept the recommendations of an IG report and go through the motions of taking corrective action

Everyone who works in DC and who is paid with taxpayer money is working for us. When I was a child I was told that ‘the government’ was ‘us’ (the citizens). We defined the government - not the other way around. They’ve forgotten this entirely, and now every elected position is considered a ‘prize’, and being elected is thought of and characterized as a great personal accomplishment that puts you at an elite level above the rest of the nation. That’s not how it’s supposed to work.

I remember hearing about Bill Clinton’s ambition to be President since high school, and remember seeing a video of his first day in the Oval Office - saying ‘can you believe this?’ - referring to his having achieved the Presidency, consistent with the concept of ‘winning the prize’. If your goal isn’t to serve, and you aren’t driven by principle, and your motivation is about ‘achievement’, you are not qualified to hold public office and shouldn’t be in the Oval Office.

“...and addresses Clinton’s use of HER PRIVATE SERVER for [Pay for Play Cash From Foreign Countries]...”

FIXED!

I hope I live long enough to see this Beotch behind bars, or at least no longer wasting oxygen. WHY does EVIL have such a long shelf life? I’ll never understand it.

This is the same IG who cleared Eric Holder of all wrongdoing in the Fast and Furious murder scandal. Horowitz plays ball with the swamp.

The IG Report isn't even going to get into all of the dodgy investigative and prosecutorial decisions that were made to 'fix' the Hillary illegal server case.

Here's how the IG recently described their work:

The review will not substitute the OIG’s judgment for the judgments made by the FBI or the Department regarding the substantive merits of investigative or prosecutive decisions.

It will spend a lot of time laying out the events over time, and criticize the FBI and DOJ for things like Comey taking over the AG's job in announcing that Hillary was not a crook, but they won't even get into how it was fixed by handing out immunity in return for nothing, not taking possession of evidence, allowing witnesses and participants to act as Hillary's attorneys, etc. Those are investigative or prosecutive decisions, which the IG will not second-guess.

Which is why we need a second special counsel.

There have been no leaks, so we can be certain there is no bad news from Trump in it.

Doesn’t seem like much of an IG report when the targets get to edit the report.

The Department of Justice and the FBI are deliberately attempting to slow roll and redact significant portions of DOJ Inspector General, Michael Horowitz’s report on the bureau’s handling of the Hillary Clinton investigation, according to numerous congressional officials and investigators.

That's Jeff Sessions' DOJ.

Someone like Trump or Sessions needs to tell folks it will be released in a week and if people need to work 24/7 to review it in that time frame........so be it.

It needs to be assumed that the first two copies went to Comey and McCabe to reviews and informally brief Congressional Dems and AntiTrumpers.
