That’s my point. You don’t NEED Crossfit branding to be a trainer or own a gym. The fact that a corporation - and not a governing body - bestows certification is, to me, a big problem. As illustrated here, why does this guy lose his job and his affiliation just because he said something the CEO didn’t like? If there was a governing body with rules he’d AT LEAST have an appeal process to losing his affiliation.
I’m CEO of my one person company lol. It sure keeps it simple. It’s inevitable that I will have to hire eventually though.
I hope corporte tax is better there.
Truth is no longer a virtue, but evil is. Sad days for America.

You mean like a union?
If they handle money, they MUST incorporate. That provides them a protective shield from lawsuits.
But.. they don’t handle money. The gyms do. Or at least they should. Whoever said I mentioned a union is wrong. Crossfit isn’t a government job or producing widgets. It’s like karate or jiu jitsu. A system of exercise taught in gyms that has inter-gym competitions. It’s, essentially, a sport and not a product-based corporation.
He needs to take a big dose of shut the f*ck up' and hide out for a while. Its sad, CrossFits CEO Greg Glassman told BuzzFeed News.
He must be crushed and be made an example.
CrossFit is for faggots. Real men do P90X.
As usual telling the truth is not acceptable to the LGBT community!!!
The gyms are capital property. They must be operated under a corporate umbrella. Each gym is a franchise of the corporation. They pay their employees, and collect income tax for the state and the Feds. That is just the way business operate in the United States. There is no choice in the matter.
LGBT pride is a farce.
To all Freepers, I strongly recommend a book published in 1973 entitled, "Whatever Became Of Sin?", by Dr. Karl Menninger. Fantastic book and almost prophetic.
“Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s goods”. Now, wanting to take other people’s stuff, and spread it around as though it’s charity, is a fundamental tenant of liberalism. “Thou shalt have no other gods before me”. I think that’s the only one they follow if they don’t call Obama a god.
The Trump Administration and Republican majority Congress lowered the corporate income tax from 35% to 21%. Different states also have different state income taxes. On *average,” a state’s corporate income tax will be about 4.7%. I would guess that most of the majority Republican states would have lower taxes than majority Democrat states.
The tax bill (now law) was called The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA).
#34. How about, “Dude! Don’t touch my goods”?
Silly fellow, doesn’t he know only Muslims can say things like that?
That’s not true. Each gym is NOT a franchise at all. It’s an affiliate. About half don’t even have the name “crossfit” in them. All you get out of an affiliation, literally, is a chance for your members to compete in the annual Open and other events. That’s literally it. Each gym is independently owned and operated.
There are literally no franchises or “company owned” gyms at all. It’s literally an affiliation to use the name Crossfit and that’s it.
“affiliates pay a fee to use the name CrossFit, but then that’s basically it. Affiliates are also locked in at the fee they paid when they joined the network. CrossFit founder, Greg Glassman said he has some early affiliates who still only pay $500 a year. The current licensing fee sits at $3,000, and Glassman doesn’t plan on raising it anytime soon.
The Reebok CrossFit Games aren’t a major source of income, even though the event draws 15,000 people through its gates daily. The Games attract sponsorships from fitness companies, but the vast majority of those deals fund the prize money. Last year the Games doled out $2 million in prizes.
