Gretchen didn’t seem to mind looks being important when she was young and could use them to her advantage. But now that she’s no longer turning heads, she doesn’t want other women to be able to do that either.
While coaching soccer (frosh soph in high school) I had three girls who signed up for the team. They practiced hard and there was no girls team for them so I kept them on the bench.
In one game we were so far ahead that I took the starters out and let the bench play. When one of these girls went on the field, the other team walked off.
At the time I was not impressed that they were making a statement, as far as they were concerned, I was humiliating them by beating them so badly, and then letting a girl on the field. (She was by far not good enough to play in a highly competitive situation), but I always did my best to let the second string on the field if we had no way we could lose.
This is not the same thing as a born male proposing to compete in the girls ranks. But it did upset the other coach.
BTW, as an adult, I played in a lot of coed soccer games. I regretted hitting a girl with a strongly kicked ball, and after that I tried to play “nicer” . But I still did not see anything wrong with the coed make up of the team.
Stop voting Democrat.
The libs/feminists created this mess, let them fix it. Let’s not bail them out. Instead just watch from the sidelines amused as they pull out their hair trying to figure out what to do without offending anyone.

On the swim team speedo suits made me rather popular. High school girls would start whispering when I walked into a class. Did not give me a wit of shame. ;-)
There is no such thing as “trans-gender.”
Those girls, the real ones, will be in charge when those freaks are minimum wage commodity labor.
When I was in high school, there were “medeterranians” who dominated athletics because they hit puberty at twelve, and we scandinavians were still not shaving at 17. Five years later, they were all short, bald, and selling cars, and I was six-two, 225, and finishing my degree. Now we’re all sixty, I look half as old as they do, and I’ve had forty good years of rubbing it in.
Anyway, athletics is for people who have nothing else. Did some soccer team just win the stanley cup?
