Low income housing is a disaster

It’s ruined countless neighborhoods, businesses, and schools.

And brought criminal and drug elements into otherwise peaceful areas

I’m pretty sure there is a study linking climate change to domestic abuse.

The purpose of Section 8 housing is to import Democrat voters into Republican strongholds.

No, making it difficult for women to possess firearms so that a husband or boyfriend can beat them at their pleasure is more directly related to something like that as opposed to increased rent.

Federal subsidies are expected to jump 20 percent

How is increasing federal subsidies going to hurt the renter?

A proposed increase for people using federal housing subsidies will most affect single mothers and their children, putting them at risk for homelessness, increasing their risk for domestic violence.

Maybe we should start making the baby-daddys start chipping in?

Domestic abuse is linked to domestic abuse. Period.
It’s not about money, or lack thereof - it’s about character, and lack of self-control. When you believe the government is your daddy, or your spouse, then there no longer exists the incentive to be morally upright and self sufficient.

Whatever government touches, usually turns to sh*t - and that includes people.

Rents and homelessness skyrocketed during Obama’s years and not a peep.

From the article:Disagree with the second paragraph. There are non-profits that can take these women and their kids in, provide counseling and a safe place to stay while they get their life together.

As an intake interviewer at a local non-profit food bank, I frequently interview women in this situation. If they are ready to leave the abuse shelter, we help them with furniture, house hold goods, etc. They hold a special place in our hearts.

There should be no taxpayer funded welfare.

"We knew Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Ben Carson’s idea to encourage self-sufficiency would hurt..."

Welfare is not meant to be a lively hood, it is meant to bring relief for a short while....abusers here are those who expect to live forever on the Government tit.

Make them get off their lazy @$$e$ and work to pay for rent for a nice place so they have a sense of pride for their home and they’ll think twice before they chance losing everything over jail for domestic abuse.

Remember there are now MORE JOBS than there are the unemployed.
The plantation is CLOSED. Now go out there and work.

This means their partner has kept them from their finances, wouldn’t let them work, harassed them at work by showing up or calling excessively, or purposely destroyed their credit.

Inshallah!

>>wouldn’t let them work

Doesn’t sound like you’d qualify for government assistance if you are ABLE to work

Let me help us in understanding this moron.

...Women in abusive relationships are likely to leave abusers when the rent’s too high. Of the 25 percent of women abused by partners, many stay with or return to abusers because there’s not enough room in shelters or available affordable housing. Higher rent will only increase the likelihood of staying in abusive relationships to avoid homelessness...

Compare the first bolded sentence with the last bolded sentence. They are saying exactly opposite things. The author of this drivel is clearly suffering from TDS and using lots of that medical marijuana the alleviate it.
