“And what better time than right after the Horowitz report comes out. If not then, then when?”

Won’t be out before 2020.

“Why hasn’t Flynn’s legal team pushed the DOJ on this already? “

Because Flynn’s legal team knows what’s coming down the pipe and are perfectly content to let it take its good time to spill out and drown the deep state.

If what I believe is going on behind the scenes is indeed true, we really don’t need a bunch of half-wit, leaking Congress-critters seeing what’s going on.

Congress has zero stomach or brains to press anything against anybody - legally or otherwise. They grand-stand. That is all.

Let the real people with legal teeth do the heavy lifting.

Be patient.

I think you’re missing my point. Sure, the Horowitz report may well be watered down. We don’t know, but what we do know is that it is being released and will provide at least some cover/rationale for Trump to start cleaning house. Sometimes you have to play the cards dealt to you and make the best of it.

He has the bully pulpit to do this, and needs to do it in a very public way to make a case for action. If not now, then when? Should he do nothing and just let it go on?

The IG report will fault Comey for publicly re-opening the hiLIARy investigation and causing her to lose the election. The dems will use it to claim that Trumps election was illegitimate. Everything else the Comey cartel did was exactly what Gowdy and McCain and other great public servants should want their government to do to protect America from Russia Russia Russia.

3) The Senate Sergeant-at-arms appearance at RosenWeasel and Wray’s office when they do not comply.

Really? Do you really think Congress has the balls to do that? When was the last time that happened? Never......

True, they could do that, but when is the last time Congress has actually done it?

Even if they did arrest someone at the DOJ for contempt, they would still be able to claim executive privilege in a court and challenge the subpoena and arrest. So this power, when it comes to be used against the Executive branch, certainly isn’t guaranteed or even reliable.

1935.

“Even if they did arrest someone at the DOJ for contempt, they would still be able to claim executive privilege in a court.”

Only the President can assert executive privilege. Somehow I doubt President Trump would do so.

Chuck Grassley 2024

Rudy Giuliani 2024

Tommy Robinson 2024

I prefer a non government worker, but we must line up Trump’s replacement now.

Hi, there, troll-boi.

Maybe you were too busy spreading cheer to notice, but Comey had his office raided while he was on the West Coast. He is still fired.

And maybe you didn't notice this, either, but even CNN isn't spewing forth "collusion" 24x7 anymore. They're now fibrillating between Stormy Daniels and Trump's followers being ray-ciss, and Trump's supposed mental instability.

Were Mewler on a roll, in hot pursuit, such would not be true.

How can the DOJ not be following the rules, and don’t people see the irony of this? This irony needs to be proclaimed and hammered into people so they get it.

Do not need to impeach. Just pass laws. Modify the chain of authority. Add a sunset clause. Loser Republicans will not do anything.

Republican Rinos hate Trump and hate you for electing him.

We just need to have a Trump double in 8 years to wear the Congress down

“Why hasn’t Flynn’s legal team pushed the DOJ on this already?”

I am sure you are familiar with the various explanations that have been floated (Flynn bankrupted by legal expenses; feds have the goods on him for something more serious, probably unrelated to the election, that the gov’t doesn’t want to air publicly; indictment of Flynn’s son used as leverage; etc.).

What if the DoJ has investigated the Flynn case, and is soon to indict various persons for obstruction, forgery, perjury, conspiracy, etc., for altering evidence and scheming to falsely charge Flynn with lying to the FBI? Could the DoJ’s refusal to accommodate Grassley be driven by concern that releasing info and key witnesses might undermine such cases? (If so, I’d rather they just unsealed the indictments, but perhaps the overall strategy isn’t ready). I don’t necessarily endorse the above, but it seems to fit the circumstances.

I find it easier to believe that the DoJ knows that the FBI was tasked with falsifying the evidence as part of the “lying” indictment they used as a screen for other matters. They want that matter to remain hidden.

That would explain why he pled guilty to an inconsequential crime he didn't commit.

It wouldn't explain why he hasn't followed up on evidence that might enable him to not only get his plea deal vacated, but to sue the DOJ/FBI for millions of dollars.

I suspect his lawyers already know what's up here. I'm just not understanding why Grassley is making such a public show about information that should have been turned over to Flynn's lawyers months ago.

Find Wray and Rosenstien in contempt and send US Marshalls to arrest and jail them.

US Marshals Service is a part of the DOJ. Trump could fire Rosenstien, but then RINOs threatened to refuse to confirm a replacement.
