Sen. Schumer rips President Trump over summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un

Sen. Chuck Schumer dismissed President Trump’s sitdown with North Korea's Kim Jong Un as nothing more than “a reality show summit.”

Schumer, speaking on the Senate floor Tuesday, said Trump has already given up American leverage on North Korea.

Schumer said if Pyongyang doesn't give up its nuclear weapons, the "meeting alone will be a victory for North Korea and a defeat for the U.S."

Sen. David Perdue (R-Ga.) said he was similarly surprised on Tuesday, telling reporters he is “very troubled” by the stalling of military exercises in the region.

“I was surprised, frankly, because the President had said earlier that that was not necessarily going to be part of the first meeting,” Perdue, a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee said. “The coordination with South Korean military is absolutely critical.”

And the opposing point of view? Never going to hear it from them. “Chuck says...” “Chuck says...” Well, maybe Chuck is an idiot.

Rushing to provide copy for the Trump hating media, on a subject this critical, is hardly statesmanship. Some people just do not know when to shut up.

Does Schumer ever think before he mouths off, where American interests are at risk?

If Obama had gotten even 1/10th accomplished with North Korea as Trump has, Schumer would be introducing a bill in congress to place Obama’s face/head on Mt. Rushmore, and would be insisting on a second Nobel Peace prize for Obama.

There is absolutely nothing that Trump can do to please Schumer and democrats and the liberal media. Time to disregard them all and move on.

When all this is over Trump will make Chuckie eat his own words by offering it to the Senate for ratification. Then Chuckie will have to vote in favor of it and he’ll look like a fool.

Democrats are calling President Trump’s praise of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un “embarrassing” while criticizing him for offering concessions in exchange of vague promises from Pyongyang.

“In his haste to reach an agreement, President Trump elevated North Korea to the level of the United States while preserving the regime’s status quo,” House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said in a scathing statement.

She said Trump had handed Kim concessions in return for “vague promises” and no “clear and comprehensive pathway to denuclearization and non-proliferation.”

Yeah, yeah, yeah. And Reagan was just a second rate TV actor with 'Bedtime with Bozo" but he brought to heel the mighty Soviet Union. Remember them, Chucky?

Well, there's still plenty of us old farts that do and we vote every November.
