Has it only been a year since LIBERAL ACTIVIST POS started shooting? Wow how time flies. Stop infringing of the rights of law abiding citizens then you can carry like it was meant to be. And, as would be expected notice how the ny(com)post make this statement:"....their licensed concealed guns..." I know some places folks are wrongly subjected into registering their firearms but the ny(com)post addresses it as a standard. Just like the majority of stoopid tv shows saying "Who was it registered to?" Most place it won't have been "registered" to anyone. Fidiots!

That’s good.
That’s how it should be.

The attack on the Baseball practice has not been fully explained. What about the train mishap? Rand Paul’s neighbor got that angry? DC pols loyal to their Republican base should be VERY afraid. That’s too much coincidence.

If people like Cornyn were more honest about their support of National Reciprocity, we'd have it this year. Congress needs to get off their but and get it approved. Further, since they ultimately control DC, they need to preempt local laws regarding the 2nd amendment. They can fix this for everyone with two congressional acts.
What I fear is they, like officials in California and elsewhere, will quietly exempt themselves, giving them CCW while leaving the rest of us citizens without same equal rights.

And members of Congress arent allowed to carry around their licensed concealed guns while in Washington, taking away one option to defend themselves. Why not? DC now has "shall issue" CCW, and Congress has the power to set the CCW rules on Capitol Hill.

“Politicians fear for safety as threats against Congress skyrocket”
Congress never deals with a problem unless it affects their wallets or safety.

No, I’d say it’s bad. They aren’t afraid of normal functioning people voting them out of office (which is a useful fear), they are afraid of being shot by lunatics. It is clear that the Democrats are already terrified of the most insane portions of the base, and are acting on their demands. That is not a useful sort of fear, it is destructive and corrosive.

Good. Be scared that you can’t carry personal firearms in Washington.
Then change the law. That’s what we pay you for.

Im trained at what I do and how I do it with a weapon, said Rep. Mike Bishop (R-Mich.), who backs concealed carry reciprocity legislation. If I had the ability to carry, I would feel safer. If they are allowed to carry in the Capitol and congressional offices then why can't I?
To: rktman
They Deserve to be Afraid and they deserve NO special Considerations whatsoever. I will even go further, in order to Protect our faithful Public Servants, we should make it a FELONY for ANY Public Servant to have any person in their employ or employed on their behalf to be in possession of ANY weapon, Firearm or Ammunition.
Until the US Constitution is recognized Nationwide they can all KISS MY ASS!!!

Don’t expect a rational response from Congress.
They are more likely to proceed with “Red Flag” legislation, which will be abused as the new “SWATing”.

No surprise. If one does not do his or her job well then he or she is let go. But for those in government they can make mistake after mistake and probably get a raise. Sad, but true.

But go there it appears we shall.
