Same reason Vince Fosters family didn’t want investigations or Yhe Kopechnes, etc. Lots of money and a few threats involved.
So if Seth Rich's estate asserts that their permission is required for Wikileaks to identify the source, don't they by doing so admit that Seth Rich was indeed the source?
Just on the face of it, we can clearly say that Seth Rich WAS involved in the DNC server hack. If he wasn’t there would be no reason to seek his family’s approval for the information release.

The whole concept is that if they release the evidence it will identify Seth Rich and / or someone else as the leaker because the file was downloaded onto a hard disk and not hacked like the DNC says...which will then lead to questions about whether Seth Rich was killed by the DNC for leaking the emails in relaiation for fixing the election against Bernie Sanders.
Once Seth was murdered, the is no longer an ethical basis for withholding the documents.
I heard that the parents (liberal) do not want their friends to blame Seth for Trump’s victory.
If wikileaks wanted to release it they would. There is nobody preventing them from doing it.
