Numerous FBI agents accused of leaking appear to have improperly received benefits from journalists, reflecting a cultural attitude flaunting Bureau policies on unauthorized media contacts, the Justice Department Inspector General report concluded. The Justice Departments Office of Inspector General made the discovery as it struggled to identify possible FBI agents improperly transmitting to reporters, according to its report released Thursday on the agencys handling of the 2016 probe into Hillary Clintons unsecured, private email server.
According to the watchdog report, investigators had profound concerns about the volume and extent of unauthorized media contacts by FBI personnel that we have uncovered during our review.
[W]e identified instances where FBI employees received tickets to sporting events from journalists, went on golfing outings with media representatives, were treated to drinks and meals after work by reporters, and were the guests of journalists at nonpublic social events, Inspector General Horowitz wrote.
We do not believe the problem is with the FBIs policy, which we found to be clear and unambiguous. Rather, we concluded that these leaks highlight the need to change what appears to be a cultural attitude.

Instead of talking about the corruption they were involved in why isn’t Jeff Sessions having them held accountable. A better question is for Trump to answer...Isn’t there someody, ANYBODY in the republican party apparatus more qualified than the Keebler Elf to lead that department? I’m beginning to question his I.Q., he’s so devoid of aggressive action against these bass-tards.
Fireable offense right?
Of course it is not a firableeable offense.
They will only be required to go to bribe training.
The DOJ is a criminal enterprise working to destroy America. Sessions is the swamp.
This is something else we all knew was going on, but nothing will be done about it. In fact, nothing will be done about anything the IG found. It was an exercise in futility. Hillary Clinton is walking around free after hiring a firm to bleach her hard drives and smashing her phones to destroy evidence, and the jerk Comey said he doesn’t see any intent on her part. This is proof positive that nothing will happen. They are democrats, what the hell!
Wow, this is SERIOUS stuff...right up there with sedition, treason, a cabal subverting a free election and a slow coup d'etat. Heads are definitely going to roll over those free tickets. I wouldn't want to be those guys.
Jail time, please, both forvleaking and accepting bribes.
Improperly is apparently the new word for illegally.
Wouldn’t it have been more appropriate to demonstrate the FBI’s “profound concerns about the volume and extent of unauthorized media contacts” by indicating the number and names of individuals and the number of events involved? This almost guarantees that this issue (which almost assuredly would highlight bias) will be swept under the rug.
Numerous FBI agents accused of leaking.
What jail are they in OH WAIT it’s ok they are pro Hillary.
I am kinda hoping it would be Rep Gohmert-TX. But that remains to be seen.
I wouldnt trust a GD one of them now.
This can be a criminal offense. Gratuity under the bribery statute.
I did a quick sneak peak at CNN news, and they are NOT covering anything of the FBI scandal, or the IG report. It is all about the Trump Foundation and Trump saluting a General. Boy, CNN is really showing their true colors. Hopefully Americans who want the NEWS will leave them behind in the sewage of misery.
...Rather, we concluded that these leaks highlight the need to change what appears to be a cultural attitude...
Heads to roll, start at the top.
Perhaps, if they did not report those gifts on their tax returns, we can throw them into a Tax prison??
bump to the top
Which agents, which reporters. NAMES !!!
