I remember those easy back and forth quakes from living in Yokohama in the 1950s.
it was the hammering up and down that really got our attention.

We were in drydock in Yokosuka when one hit and the cranes were waving around. Scary.

Yes, I remember those (usually centered in Ibaraki, but felt around Tokyo/Chiba).. at least weekly, and almost relaxing >.<

Got used to those within a year of me coming here, and no longer held on to the nearest object when those occurred after about a year.

This one was much like the one in 2011 in that you didn’t hear/feel it coming... :/
