Senate Democrats indicated Tuesday they may not agree to narrow legislation that would end the separation of children from parents who cross into the country illegally at the southern border.
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., refused to say if he and other Democrats would support a bill that Republicans are working on, and when pressed, said several times that President Trump should act on his own to stop these family separations from happening.
"Let's hope we never get to that. Let's hope the president does the right thing and solves the problem, which he can do," Schumer said. "That's the simple, easiest and most likely way this will happen."

The Dems think family separations = VOTES \o/ ,LOL
I personally don’t care how comfortable illegal alien invaders or their kids are after they get caught. I just want them all deported ASAP.
The Democrat Party has set itself up as an overt enemy of America
gee, quelle surprise
I predicted this would happen last night.
Yup, like I said, the Democrats dont want a fix; they want a political issue.
Republicans walked right into their trap. Quelle surprise!
Of course they do.
Trump is an action figure
‘Rats are motion figures.
The democRATS DO NOT want this issue to go away. They need to have this so they can continue their Trump bash.
That clown is doing nothing more than trying to goad POTUS into committing an illegal act - DJT is ENFORCING THE LAW AS WRITTEN; anything else short of a law passed by Congress could be made to look as if POTUS is governing illegally.
So predictable, after all this needless endless contentious debate, brought on by the Left, they don’t want any solution themselves.
It’s all a political game with them to try and tar Trump with this and they won’t contribute any ideas or support for the problem.
They just gave Trump the gift that keeps on giving, their own abject stupidity.
So you want POTUS Trump to act outside of the Constitution like OBozo did with DACA?
Acting outside of the Constitution would be grounds for impeachment, right ChuckU?
Great minds think alike!
Anyone who thought for a moment Democrats actually cared about the kids, well - lets just say we havent been disappointed.
This is their MO after all in never letting a crisis go to waste.
Not really change the rules to 50 votes and who cares what crying chucky says
we speak French?
Dems want the directive to come from Trump only. Not Congress, no bills presented. Just Trump. Then theyll beat him to death (worse than they are today) with it. they think theyll have their midterm wrapped up.
Lol! Their bait is stale
Dems think this will buy votes in the Fall. They don’t want a solution. They want na problem. What they are not planning on is an eventual public backlash. The MSM/DNC tried to push gun confiscation. It failed. This “caged child” B.S. is this week’s crisis of the century.
The Democrats are on the attack. They must win control of the house.
The Governor of New York attempted a flank attack by filing a law suit
The failing Democrats are becoming very dangerous as they are backed into the corner of loss on the verge of complete panic
the Democrats are trying to force Trump to stop policing the border. The massive influx coming in now is part of their plan. If Trump stops removing the children as the law requires him to, then he can’t apprehend the adults. The law says if you apprehend the parents the children must be separately dealt with. He can’t police the border without doing this, or he violates the law. Nice poison pill.
About all he could do is declare an emergency and close the border entirely. And he’d have to place the guard along the entire border.
This is the Democrat/socialist play - force him down from immigration control of any kind. If he closes the border, the screaming will get 10 times louder. The Democrats are making their play to take down the country’s borders - make them meaningless - right now.
