DNA can be sequenced from buccal swab samples which is the least intrusive method. It’s a swab of cells on the inside of a cheek.

DNA is an excellent idea and I have another one. Allow only those who apply for amnesty at a port of entry or a US Embassy in a foreign country have their claim processed. If you sneak over the border illegally then you lose the right to seek asylum.
That would be have your paperwork or lose the kid and be charged with child trafficking.
