I just want my town to be the way it used to be,
Too late; progressives in government, media, schools and churches have been allowed to gain control, and this is one their many bitter fruits.
Expect things to start escalating in St.Cloud after this. They want their muzzie ways, not our ways, and beating whites with clubs will be very appealing.
The tree of Liberty needs watering. This is a critical moment for America.
As long as Somali gangs live there, fuggedaboudit. You are in for the Infidel treatment.
God Bless your grandfather and his contribution to this beautiful state, sorry he is gone:)
Very VERY helpful post, I sincerely appreciate it:) Thank You
Well, I guess if you mean downeasters you mean coastals, right?
These are REAL MEers, inland farming and milling, not the de riguer “beach” set. After all most of ME is easily mountains and trees, not beach!
My granpa was a mill man, ended up managing at the Rumford mill. Much of his work was paper mills, all over including NY and apparently up in Newf also. (He was a WWI vet in France with artillery.) He was a fantastic man, so kind and gentle and also active until the day he died - slid in for a tag at baseball with me at 89!
The scary thing is my uncle (one of the many) officially is part of Lewiston, and my dad wants to have us all go up there to see him and the family again. Dad has been staying in Lewiston/Auburn itself quite a few times over the last 15 years while visiting, mostly because his Rumford HS had reunions there. Meanwhile, my (Canadian) aunt was nuts about proving to us how wonderful and peaceable the Moslems there are when I was up with my family ‘15. I don’t know where that came from - but I guess she’s a lib and figures she has to defend everyone to us conservatives. She’s a great lady but still foolish socialist after 80 years.
You’re welcome.
Stay Safe;)
Working in any one of the mills was some hard work and I always give credit to those who worked there, they earned their money. He sounds like he was a fantastic man:) Hope he was safe when he slide in:)
Oh he was fine. He got my ball and then jumped in to tag me out at 2nd. He loved baseball! Loved the Sox, and I was so happy when they finally won for the first time since he was in the war! Would like to bring some 04 Sox things to his grave someday (WI, where he was born and raised).
