I could never stand the pompous anti-Trumper. Notwithstanding that we should, as a matter of polite convention, speak well of the (recently) dead, I nonetheless rarely smelled what he was stepping in, and never understood those who lionized him.

To me, he was a rather average, run-of-the-mill sourpuss. Who hated Trump.

I pray for The Lord's peace for those close to him, and am confident we'll somehow manage in his absence.

His insight will be missed, but let’s not forget he had his moments of not getting it right. For months before the ‘16 election he was giving Trump almost no chance at winning the election. He was a liberal Republican in tune with his buddy George Will.He was an inspiration and a battler to overcome the roadblocks he faced.

"...who can post the most egregious hagiography..."

I love your style, and concur about Herr Kraut.

The plain truth is, if you spend enough time as a Krauthammer, everything starts looking like a Kraut-nail. LOL

RIP Charles Krauthammer
One of the most vocal, eloquent and insightful critics of the Obama presidency.

He was not a conservative, he worked for Mondale at one point.

When it matter he went to his roots, the left.

I always enjoyed listening to Charles Krauthammer, even though I sometimes disagreed with him.

And when I disagreed, I tried to remember what the Gipper said: “The person who agrees with you 80 percent of the time is a friend and an ally - not a 20 percent traitor”.

Conservatives who are quick to criticize Krauthammer would do well to remember that.

RIP, Mr. Krauthammer.

After Obama was elected, and before his inauguration, CK said he didn’t know what kind of president he would be. WE knew what kind of president he would be. How could he not know?

I voted for Trump (the alternative was unacceptable) but I too had had no idea of what type of President. You never know if you are going to get a phony politician a la GWB or a person who stands by his campaign promises. Not that I haven't been pleasantly surprised- I sure as hell have! But I don't have blind loyalty to any any politician or any political party. Some of us are immune to political idolatry.

The Establishment Globalist Hacks around the world continue to be exposed thanks to the election of President Donald J. Trump.

.....then became a neocon warmonger...

Funny. I am coming up on my 20th anniversary of being on this site. I remember quite well the argument leading up the Iraq War circa 2002. People back then who only questioned the wisdom of getting us into a long drawn out expensive war were routinely scoffed at and in some cases their accounts were banned from this site. I know...I was called every name in the book when I I only questioned the viability of the war and the dubious (now proven false) claims of WMD. 5 Trillion dollars later, with thousands of lives tragically ruined, those same people re-write history and now see themselves as conscientious opponents of the war. If you listen to commentators such as Laura Ingraham or Glennn Beck, you would think the opposed the war from the get go.

So before you slam a good man like Krauthammer, please name me one prominent conservative, other than Rand and Ron Paul who opposed the war. I know Trump was agnostic about the war back then, but I can only imagine what would have been said about him by some of the "patriots" in conservative circles circa 2002
