Strzok’s lawyer told the Washington Post that his client “wants the chance to clear his name and tell his story”:

Clear his name..what a joke. He knows he is being thrown under the bus to protect higher ups. He may want to cut an immunity deal.

I think Hillary hooked him up with a good lawyer that created a somewhat plausible cover story based on the public texts.

First to answer the inevitable question as to why Peter Strzok is still employed by the FBI. Because Inspectors General, in this case Michael Horowitz, cannot "interview" former employees, only current ones,

I was wondering about that, thanks for explaining.

I don’t know if your answers are correct, but your questions are intriguing.

One thing I noticed - by my memory it seems like Lisa Page asked the setup questions, which Strzok would answer. For example the last one we found in the IG report, paraphrasing, Lisa Page said Trump will never be president, right? And Strzok said, don’t worry, we’ll take him out. He seems to be the one with the aggressive answers and mind-set.

Strzok maintained a secret back channel to Valarie Jarret. His task was to confirm info channeled by others

Does Strzok have something on Mueller and his crew of political assailants? He was in on the Russia investigation from the beginning.

He probably wants to use info on Hitlery and con-man comey for immunity or some type of deal.

Strzok will claim he believed the information on Trump the candidate and did so with a zeal commensurate with his status in the FBI. At all times he acted in good faith. His insurance discussion and making sure Trump didn’t become President all admissions but were only done and said because of his belief in Russian interference and that poor candidate Hillary was a target of that interference. It could have been Bernie Sanders or any other candidate though. Just happened to be Hillary. And the MSM will lap it up and state the deep state conspiracy is over since there never was such a conspiracy.

First up is the House Joint Comittee, which is well stocked with hardass Patriots. Jordan, DeSantis, etc. It ain’t going to be pattycake, other than the usual dem disinformation buffoonery.

WHY DOES PETER STRZOK WANT TO TALK TO HOUSE COMMITTEE?

To use his testimony and notoriety as a platform to stoke The Resistance.

This creep is a true-believing, committed leftist and nothing coming out of his mouth should be trusted.

He DOESN’T want to talk to the House Committee. They’ve offered him several dates and time and scheduling options, but he has refused. Finally, they resorted to a subpoena which, if I understand correctly, was served yesterday.

He’s been saying he wants to testify; he lies.

Bottomline: What is the worst crime he can be charged with and convicted of?

And what is the maximum sentence for that?

History: The sentences in Watergate were surprisingly short.

Strzok is confident and not intimidated by what he thinks are politicians groping in the dark trying to piece it all together.

Don’t expect anything to come of this.

First to answer the inevitable question as to why Peter Strzok is still employed by the FBI. Because Inspectors General, in this case Michael Horowitz, cannot "interview" former employees, only current ones,

That is why AG Sessions assigned United States Attorney Huber to team up with DOJ IG Horowitz. There are two things USA Huber can do which IG Horowitz cannot:
1. Compel testimony of any person (in or out of DOJ) before a grand jury; and
2. Bring indictments for crimes.
