The complex thing that is climate is a chaotic thing, not smoothly variable. And it can’t be summed up in just one number either. Good scientists would be trying to regularize such factors. Bad one use what artifacts they can grab and run, screaming, for the tabloids. That’s going to drag science down to the level of astrology. Maybe even worse than astrology.
Could it be (being facetious) that “Gaia” read all our fears and decided to stay calm for our sakes?

The overall temperature of the earth cannot be measured with enough accuracy to determine whether it is actually warmer or cooler than it was 30 years ago. The data can be easily cherry picked to show anything that the picker wants it to show. And the leftist pickers have an agenda. They do not even try to hide the fact that they have an agenda.
