Sen. Chuck Schumer used the occasion of Sunday’s NYC Pride March to announce that his daughter, Alison, will be marrying her fiancée, Elizabeth Weiland. The women plan to walk down the aisle on Nov. 18.

Well, I’ll admit I attended one of these “unions” a while back. It involved my wife’s daughter by her first marriage, and I attended in support of my wife seeing where she asked me to as she didn’t want to go alone. Otherwise, I wouldn’t be caught dead at one. We left just as soon as we could...we did NOT want to be there any longer than we had to be. What’s sad is this girl was a great kid growing up. Looking back on it, I’m kinda glad we went as it only reinforced my distain for it. IMHO, it’s just outright wrong, but hey, IF that’s what they wanna do, they’re free to knock themselves out....just don’t ever involve me or my wife again.
