A 90-year-old Texas veteran is recovering Tuesday as police are searching for a group of teens who reportedly hurled a chunk of asphalt through the windshield of a car he was traveling in over the weekend.
Raymond Mikeska of Fort Worth suffered a chest injury Sunday evening after the asphalt came raining down from an overpass along Interstate-30.

The station reported that Fort Worth Police are now trying to track down the kids believed to be responsible for the incident.

[Cindy] Boyd said she looked up at the kids who she says threw the asphalt, and they “just walked off” in a nonchalant manner.
“They didn’t run. They weren’t afraid. It did not bother them,” she told Fox 4.

They were youthful. Wearing pastel colored polo shirts with the collars popped, and khaki shorts and Weejuns. Witnesses report that the leader was called "Kip" and that they smelled like cool rain water..

Of the two or three rock dropping stories I’ve read about ( one local and I knew of the victim), they’ve been white boys.
Years ago (early 1980s maybe), I was heading west on I-20, just west of Jackson, MS....Bolton, MS exit, IIRC. 3 punks tossed a full-size cement block off the overpass. It hit my left side mirror taking it completely off. I immediately pulled around and sped up the wrong way onto the entrance ramp to get up on the overpass, pulled out a Colt Combat Commander and commenced to emptying a couple of magazine loads at the fleeing felons. Yeah, I know, I would have probably gone to jail had I killed one, or all, of the insolent little bassturds, but I didn’t give a crap at the time because they had just tried to kill me. However, I’m willing to wager that they thought twice before ever doing it again. Yeah, I filed a police report but nothing ever came out of it.
Yes, we need to put the fear of God into them. I saw last week, don’t recall where, some rocks on the road near a overpass that looked a bit suspicious. No one nearby at the time.
In the 50s that might fit, but todays feral punks need to be removed from the gene pool.

Looking at the video it’s not a populated city street but more rural looking.
In Michigan this has off and on been a serious problem. Two cases lately got attention The authorities here tried to minimize it but the citizens atypically got hopping mad and demanded justice via calls,emails,radio call-ins and so on.
Theme was this is attempted murder despite no plan for a certain victim to be murdered and justice system must charge them that way.
A Jan. 10,,2018 story on 5 white teens who threw a rock that killed a 32 year old man below the overpass said some said “boys being boys” was not bad enough to send them to prison. “They apparently were looking for something to do.” Still ongoing case.
The April 7,2018 Detroit story said “Teens Who Killed Man After Throwing Sandbag Won’t Serve Jail Time.” The attorney for the dead man’s family asked “What madness is this.”
That time teens were black. A lot of people mad now.
Citizens here have started demanding law and order instead of being passive.
I salute you.
Might have gone to jail, but did not.
