What this means is that they have the power to record what ever you say and video what ever you do EVEN if you are not a member of Facebook. All you need to do is have the television or radio on. Your cellphone or computer would automatically obey the commands issued to it.

Your cellphone or computer would automatically obey the commands issued to it. It would require that you have their app installed on your phone, and that you give that app access to the microphone. Same with your computer. Most desktop systems don't even have a microphone... FB wants to know everything about you. Don't let them. If your phone or TV have the FB app installed, delete it.

There’s always more than one way to do something with software, and Facebook won’t be the only company doing it. I don’t have a smartphone, and other telephones are best used with noise canceling microphones.

When the article says “your phone” does it mean any phone or a smart phone. I ask because I do not own a smart phone. I have my daughters old Motorola flip phone. I still however,have a land line.
