Most voters fear that political violence is coming from opponents of the president’s policies, just as they did in the second year of Barack Obama’s presidency, and nearly one-in-three think a civil war is next.

Thirty-one percent (31%) of Likely U.S. Voters say it’s likely that the United States will experience a second civil war sometime in the next five years, with 11% who say it’s Very Likely. A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 59% consider a second civil war unlikely, but that includes only 29% who say it’s Not At All Likely. Only 3% of Americans fought in the revolution of 1776.

We are in one now and it went hot a year ago.

"Moderate" democrats, bear with me here, are trying to get their leftists to walk it back because they have already lost and are worried that a retreat is about to turn into a rout. They just are not winning anywhere and they are not even getting a lot of support from their erstwhile supporters.

This is EXACTLY what Soros wants and is paying political actors for.

Q says we must come together and not allow ourselves to be divided.

The difference between now and Obama was the same people violating the rights of the other people. Then they had power so they were relaxed and confident that they could come take our guns at their leisure. Now they are frustrated and anxious because they don’t have the power. The mitigating factor in other Republican administrations was the fact that Republicans could always be counted on to give in lest they appear uncivil.

LOL. No Americans fought in the Revolutionary War because they were all British subjects.

“This is EXACTLY what Soros wants and is paying political actors for.”

Russia was striving for it as well as opposed to getting Trump elected. The Democrats are too blind to see it.

Who knows, but the fact that 31% think it could happen makes me want to head for the hills. It wouldn't be a gentlemanly affair like the last one.

This is, of course, a bad sign. It doesn’t mean that a hot war is coming soon. But it does mean that Americans will be descending more and more into tribalism.

And, long-term, that never ends well.

Are we in one of those human cycles where things must get worse before they can get better?

Is the restoration of civility, intellectual honesty and common sense to be found only at the far end of a trek through a greater hell?

Down a pathway populated with crazies?

Seems like it.

If so, bring it on!

It’s time for a spring cleaning.

3 % of 63,000,000 is darned near 2,000,000.

Just doing some math, that’s all.

Soon? It started last year when an average Democrat tried to assassinate a number of Republican Members of Congress.

As much as I don’t want to see this coming to a violent head, in the back of my mind I am hearing, “please, please come to Texas and pull that crap.”

I want to get back on the lake, fish and search for all the tools I lost in the last storm.

That's what I wonder. Have we become so fat, dumb and happy we'll just sit on the sidelines?
