Good graphic too...

I am very sympathetic to that view of him.

As long as the vote for confirmation is before the mid-terms, it is a Dems lose or Constitutionalists win.

If the Democrat Senators in red states vote against it, they lose. If they vote for it, we win.

That is probably a good guess. That and other recent events cannot be sitting well.

In some ways Mitch has been good on judges. In others, he hasn’t been so hot.

We have many nominations, and they are languishing. Trump wants to put them to work, and we’re still messing around 18 months after Trump was sworn in.

He got the Goresuch issue right. Kudos. We got a good replacement out of it. Then there’s the issue of dragging feet.

That isn’t so swell.

We should be reasoned with the Democrats. We should give them some time. We shouldn’t let them delay for months on end. About six weeks ago, we still had an appointment languishing from May of 2017. That isn’t right.

Mitch should have been on top of that.

I hope he is. If there is one thing that will spur a man to action, it’s attacking his wife.

But it’s really unfair to not credit McConnell for the fantastic job he’s done with the Supreme Court. He was resolute, in the face of withering attack, to deny Garland. Most others would have caved and we would not be getting the two crucial decisions we’ve gotten this week without Gorsuch as part of the 5-4.

If McConnell says they’ll vote on Trump’s nominee this fall, please support him. He will again be facing unbelievable pressure from the media to postpone any vote until after the mid-terms and we absolutely do not want to take any chance on having to consult with dems about Kennedy’s replacement.

McConnell needs 50 votes (maybe 51 votes) to change the rules in the Senate to speed up nominations.

He has said that he doesn’t have those votes - there are a few Republican Senators who DO NOT want to speed things up. McConnell could call them out, but I don’t blame him for not doing so, as he still needs the votes of those people.

Far be it for me to be a Mitch McConnell apologist. However, he did prevent Obama’s last candidate from being approved, so that Trump could eventually get Gorsuch approved.

If he does what he’s saying now, … moving quickly forward on the Kennedy replacement, then I have to applaud. As usual, seeing is believing.

BTW, the liberals and socialists derangement tonight over the Kennedy retirement is a sight to behold!

I think Collins will be a “yes”. Yesterday I watched her and other Repubs sitting at the table in the WH with the President. She was very complimentary toward him and things that he is doing and what she is doing to help him.

I think the Senator from WV will vote for the nominee.

I agree with your take on things here.

I mentioned McConnell blocking Obama’s last nomination too.

You know, we have waited so many decades to get into a position with the majority, and the right president. These times come along so seldom. We have to take advantage of it.

What a missed opportunity if we only pass two big bills in four years.

We should be on the way to passing ten big bills.

I don’t think there’s going to be any wobbly kneed Republicans . It’s what they’ve claimed they wanted for the longest time.

I’m sure he is pissed. They messed with the man’s wife.

The nutso Left is doing Trump’s bidding in exposing how terrible they are

Justice Elena Kagen nominated by Obama on May 10, 2010 just before the 2010 Mid Term Elections

Collins just basically said that if Trump nominates a Judge who she believes would vote to overturn Roe v. Wade, she will vote against him.

Is that in dog years or in Methuselah years?

There's a 2013 video of how McConnell was pissed at Reid over the nuclear option, so this is his payback.

maybe he’s pissed about those harassers.

That just might be a factor. Certainly it doesn't help the Left's cause when its minions go barking mad. Who do they think they'll win over thru terrorism?
