Organized lawlessness is spreading to cities across the United States but the news is almost totally ignored and blacked out by the mainstream media.
These ominous uprisings are taking various forms but the most visible and aggressive ones involve Antifa-style “occupy” socialist and anarchist street mobs dedicated to taking down ICE – U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the federal government policing agency that is part of the Department of Homeland Security. The impetus for these actions has been the anti-President Trump Fake News psy-op meme that claims minor children of illegal immigrants arrested for crashing the U.S./Mexico border are being separated from their parents, sent to “Nazi”-like “concentration camps,” and systematically mistreated.

I have been through Check Point Charlie, and saw the rather poignant statement “You are leaving the American sector.” I have been in the belly of the beast, in East Berlin, and seen Soviet tanks up close. I have watched Soviet Air Force war games. I don’t know for sure, but maybe you think the Soviets were there to protect the East Germans. I do not believe that for a second.

My take on Civil War 2.0, it has been happening at a political level since around 1992 and it intensified in several stages, most notable of them being the Obama ascendancy. This completed a revolution but did not quite bring on a one-party state although the Romney surrender was as close to de facto one party state politics as America would ever get, short of a formal declaration backed by police and military power.
The Trump election brings us to a counter-revolutionary push back phase that is nowhere near being consolidated. The revolutionaries are still in control of large segments of society. And they are very close to a return to political power at all levels.
A more literal civil war 2.0 with large scale violence will be difficult to organize on either side in part due to the scattered nature of combatants and in part due to the fog of ambiguity surrounding which side many people would choose if forced. Who exactly is going to engage with whom, and would it be pitched battles of groups, or roaming groups of small numbers looking for targets of opportunity?
At what level of engagement does civil unrest turn into civil war?
The dynamics of possible civil war in this instance appear to be small towns, suburbs and rural areas vs larger urban areas. As we all know, small numbers of sympathizers with each side are surrounded in each case by large numbers of the potential combatants. A small town liberal or a big city Trump supporter might be in danger of early extinction in any such large scale civil unrest, but I can’t really picture a battleground scenario because rural conservatives don’t want to live in big cities and vice versa.
Maybe it all goes away with a more decisive Trump win in 2020 followed by another strong conservative nationalist serving 2025 to 2032. That may erode the base of support for the far left back to 1980s levels where it’s just a small number having limited influence. That may be wishful thinking given the demographic forces at work.
I also think that the second coming may pre-empt this civil war or be the focal event bringing it on, or an event that ends it. This would transform the saved portiun of the U.S. into the nation that becomes the central point of the Kingdom. Events around the world would reflect this process and similar outcomes would occur.

I could agree with that to a point, but even before I went to Vietnam in 1970, I thought we were going to have a civil war. At that time, of course, we had no internet, no alternative news, and had very little information available, unlike today.
I was in the military for 20 years. One (among many) of the reasons I stayed in, was because of those thoughts. It didn’t happen, of course, and I hope it doesn’t, but I figured the best place to be in a civil war, would be in the military. I trained on a variety of weapons in my career. All is not so bad, cuz I have been collecting retirement pay for quite some time, and still use my commissary and BX privileges, plus my Tri Care and VA benefits. 👍
There will be one: alive-but-dying person who is qualified as a sniper. This person will probably not have any Christian convictions whatsoever. This one will research and stalk: an antifa agitator, a district judge who has been viciously anti-Constitutional, a bureaucrat who has legislated from her office, a state/county/local/school-board individual, who has gone off on conservatives as though we were nazis. That person will be offed from a great distance. Then others of similar stripe will begin to worry where the next will come from.
That is my prediction. It’s not what I want; it is what I predict will begin happening. The shooter will probably have some terminal illness, and will have had battlefield experience having done the same.

This would be the first Civil War. The 1861 war was a failed war for independence. A civil war is a war where two sides try to take over a nation by violence. The 1861 war was horrible, but the bloodshed in a true American civil war would be unimaginable.

The Progressive/ Communist religion has watered down Christianity enough in our country that it is just a collection of empty rituals in all the Mainline Protestant denominations and far too many non-denoms.
God rescued Russia after about 70 years in the Communist wilderness. China and NK are at the end of their 70 years and they are showing signs of walking away from it. Perhaps that is the plan for America: 70 years of Communist deprivation to teach us the value of what’s really important.

Just a quibble, but I think Trump is looking for law-and-order types, as opposed to "Trump supporters" for the purportedly non-political positions in the DOJ and FBI. AG/DAG is a political position, and FBI director is semi-political. The actual front line management in both is supposed to be apolitical, IMO.
Right now, the whole hierarchy seems infested with political animals left over from the Obama administration.
